Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Not sure how they'll make it work financially.
Have the Rockets got any trade exceptions?
Lawson is owed $12 million.
Unless they break up some of their core, they don't have much players to match it. Papanik is the closest at $4.8 million. T-Jones & D-Mo are around $2 mil each.
Brewer and Beverley cannot be traded yet.
It'll most likely have to involve a third team.
Edit: Well damn looks like something happened. I just did this deal on the ESPN Trade Machine but it still doesn't work financially- Houston still needs to shed $1.8 million? Trade exceptions?Last edited by vtcha; 07-19-2015, 08:33 PM.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Houston got Lawson for nothing. If he can quit drinking then this was a great deal for the Rockets.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Surprised they didn't have to give up either Motiejunas, Jones or Harrell. They are pretty loaded now but they had to give up a lot depth - or scraps depending on your opinion - to get him. Plus, like someone (vtcha) mentioned they may need to include a third team to make the numbers work.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Damn, that's just another really good team in the west this year. Lawson, Harden and Howard is a hell of a trio, so long as this whole dui situation doesn't affect Ty too much.
The top 5 in the west is looking insane right now.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Going bac to okc for a minute if billy d works out, its okc and the spurs tied for the 2 best teams, then gsw, then the clips, then houston. And to whoever compared them to the clips can you elaborate on the comparison. Cuz experience wise the thunder have been farther in the playoffs more times than the clips, and the small moves they made were only cuz they acquired so much depth at the deadline. All they really had to do was resign guys. I just wanna understand the comparison.
Oh and my 2 cents on houston getting ty, i think its a great move to make. But lawson is gonna have to improve his 3pt shooting a bit. I think this move keeps them where there at as far as 4 or 5th best in the wild west(rhymin accidentally) but its because the teams ahead of them just keeping getting better as well.Last edited by OkayC; 07-19-2015, 08:55 PM.Lakers

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
The 6-8 spot in the West is going to be interested.
You got
The 80% chance to make Playoffs: Grizzlies
The up and coming teams: T'Wolves & Jazz
The Anthony Davis factor: Pelicans
The "can be decent if everything works out": Kings, Suns, and possibly the Lakers
The 50/50: MavsComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Donovan definitely won't get anymore out of Kanter than what they got last year. Dude was like 19 and 11, 22 and 13 per 36min.
