Just because people in a thread have discussed the negatives, doesn't mean you and your men NEED to come in and put all of us in a headlock to let it be known that 'Melo is the man.

And look at you, you didn't even read the posts. You just saw "no positive toward 'Melo" and went on that. How fair is that? What you did, as MeloMen do, come in and start calling people haters. 'Melo is a very good player, like I said. But it is a known fact that the guy has an ego problem. Not just in the Olympics, but with his teammates in Denver. Alot cannot stand him. Does he mean well, I'm sure he does, but he then comes up afterward with some ******** comments that make him sound selfish. Nobody says this stuff, except him. It's not made up or anything.

As far as the opinions being altered in here because of that one poster, I don't see it. If Carmelo didn't say the things he said or do the things he do, nobody would say a thing about him. During the time when that one psoter was around, it was pretty clear in here that Carmelo was doing great and was receiving praise. But when things started coming out about him after the season and so on, he deserved the ribbings he was getting. And I don't remember people doing the putting down of Carmelo to relatiate. If anything, they were coming back with what Carmelo can't do that LeBron can do.

He didn't inspire negative feelings. Once he was banned, nobody cared anymore and went back to fair judgement. It's the MeloMen that remained to continue the cause.
Unneccessarily defensive, i dont think so, but fair enough....I stated my mistake but one time doesnt make many....You claim that anytime someone points out a flaw I come to his defense...not true..never said "Melo is the man" or anything like that, since he cant touch Paul Pierce....but I digress...some things we'll agree to disagree on...I read the posts, thing is I replyed to wallyhopp's post because it seemed the nature of the thread was deteriorating.....apologized.....my bad.....what else do u want....my opinion on some of melos comments is that what he said is misunderstood and taken the wrong way by media and readers alike....something 'Bron was obviously coached on but melo needs work....i know it seems convenient for me to feel this way, but im 17, I have friends around his age that just have bad people skills, they get their point across, but leave the people they're talking to with a bad impression....But Im getting off topic...as far as melos flaws, I could list them, but what does that really prove.....we're all human, we all have flaws, and its foolish to think that someone would question that fact..........

Honestly too, the guy would come out and try smashing on LBJ Like he was on a mission to prove to the world that Melo was the all end all. Not just once but up until he was banned, and it seems some picks up for him when some things are said about Melo. I don't bash the guy at all, but I read the comments, and read what Melo says in the press, even when he whined about "nobody includes Carmello in anything" to get into the Olympics, then he gets there and figures he's going to have his way.

Those types of things shouldn't even attempt to be defended with blood swest and tears.

how does a player not adjust to being on the bench is my question. He says hes not used to being on the bench. There is nothing to get used to. All you do is sit on the chairs and cheer your team on.

edit: we shall see how he does this season. now that kenyon is also getting some fast break points, because i think melo lead the league in fast break points last year
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Exactly. And it's not bad people skills, it's called an inflated ego. "Nobody includes Carmelo in anything"? I mean, c'mon...you can twist and turn that any way you want...but he is a big time athlete with millions of bucks and endorsement deals all around him. What the **** else does he want?

I just saw Carmelo on the best damn sports show period, and he was promoting a book he wrote. Basically its about his life growing up and he wants people who read it to do the opposite of him because he was brought up in a "rough" life and had to pay dues the entire way to stardum....

If he really went through this tough life, you'd think he'd be a humble guy, instead and this is my opinion, he seems like a stuck up b*tch. I hate guys who are full of themself like he is, even if he doesn't come out and say it in that exact form, you can tell.

Ya'll got some good points, but as far as overall opinion on the guy, lets just agree to disagree.....'dre your right, I think the "dont nothing include Carmelo" is a perfect example of his bad people skills, horrible word choice, but your right about not being on the team then complaining about it.......its like when he said "I aint been on nobodys bench" it comes off as arrogant and full of himself, Its bad wording on his part......As far as lebron not complaining, melo didnt complain about the game he was sat down, it was LBs misinterpretation of Carmelo's body language that led to subsequent benchings and carmelo wondering aloud what am i doing wrong....as far as magicbuckswsox fan, you shouldnt be making fun of dude when you dont know his life.....you dont have to like him, if you want you can hate hi m, but its true that like many others, Melo came from tough beginnings.....He grew up in one of the worst hoods round BMore.....as far as how he comes of as arrogant, again we'll agree to disagree, I think if you met dude in person or talked too him you'd see that view is wrong......

As far as being not used to sitting on the bench, he did exactly what you said, sat down and cheered his team on, and I cant believe how someone could say he was sulking on the bench when we all watched the games, and he was a real rick fox, high fives during TOs, clapping for 3 point plays, etc.......the "hard" part was understanding why he was being benched, not actually being benched...
