Re: OS NBA Players Rating: Player #2 - Ben Wallace
Originally posted by devilsjawI gave him an eight. Probably the best defensive player in the game right now, but defense is only half the game. If he could average around 15 points a game, I'd rate him higher. He's not quite elite status yet, as he couldn't carry a team by himself.Comment

Re: OS NBA Players Rating: Player #2 - Ben Wallace
8 for me.
Ben's a great defensive player who CAN affect the outcome of the game on one end but still lacks enough offense to affect the game on the other. Great player, works hard, and has desire. He's kinda like Bill Russel, but with less offense. He could get similar numbers on offense if he works on it.Comment

Re: OS NBA Players Rating: Player #2 - Ben Wallace
I give him a 10.
His defensive play is just phenomenal. He's definately the best defensive player in the league. Yes he doesn't have the offense that you'd like to see in a dominant center but that's not such a bad thing with the kind of team Detroit has. I liken him to a modern day Bill Russell. He doesn't even have Russell's offensive numbers but he's getting better and better at it. He's just a very good tenacious defensive player and if Rodman can be considered one of the best players of all time solely on his defense then Wallace should get the same kind of recognition and props.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: OS NBA Players Rating: Player #2 - Ben Wallace
9.5
The things he's consistently able to do on the floor border on ridiculous..especially when you consider he's an undrafted, undersized C. Damn the offense when you can not only rebound and block shots better than anyone in the league...but also man defend and strip the rock at his level. 10 ppg is plenty, IMO.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

I gave him a 9. Quite simply put, he's arguably the best defender in the league--so good he can change the tone of a game simply by busting his tail on D. He also makes his teammates better with his style of play--all-out. The heart and soul of his team.Comment

I gave him a 9. While his O (and FT shooting) lacks...he has improved every year and is showing the willingness to be part of the offense. Step off his from 11, and he'll shoot it. Solid 9!
Whoever gave him a 1 is clueless.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!
