re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Do they want him back at this point? Seemed like dude was in the doghouse or something in the playoffs there. Could have really used him in a few games, certainly against GS and he was glued to the bench the whole time.Last edited by King_B_Mack; 06-27-2016, 06:20 PM.Comment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Sooooo uhhhhh....thoughts on Memphis' attempt to convince Mike Conley to stay with the Grizzlies? Seems kinda corny and not the type of thing NBA players look for in their free agency pitches. Idk, maybe having him their all this time they know something like this would resonate with him? Anyway, wouldn't mind the Bulls picking him up this offseason. Telling me we're gonna start Jose Calderon or Denzel Valentine or Spencer Dinwiddie at point does nothing for me as a fan unless they're intentionally trying to tank for another lottery pick next year.
The Memphis Grizzlies aren’t ready for a breakup. Mike Conley is set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1, but the Grizzlies are pulling out all the stops in their effort to re-sign the talented point guard. Even Justin Timberlake, who’s a minority owner of the Grizz, has joined the cause by appearing in […]Comment

My thing is the Cavs cant really improve themselves through free agency unless guys take paycuts to play here. We have 3 TPEs, and the exceptions to work with, plus Delly(RFA), and Mozgov and JR to resign. Id rather see us resign guys now and trade them if needed, than let them walk, because we are limited in ways to improve.Comment

Sometimes I feel like theses FA are asked to pretend things to make free agency interesting.Comment

I don't think Derrick is going down though to be honest. Notice his knees were fine last year. Derrick's biggest issue last year was Taj Gibson smashing his friggin eye in on the first day of training camp (accident, but dammit Taj). He missed games for rest and "general soreness" sure, but how's that any different from Dwyane Wade over the years? Or what Pop does with his guys throughout the year? LeBron's maintenance breaks every year recently? The only reason it's news when Derrick sits out to keep him right for later is because of his previous injuries. I think the major knee issues are behind him, it's just a matter of being able to get out there for a long stretch to get his timing back right. Dudes just expected him to start playing games at or very near MVP Rose level after basically missing two years of basketball like they're really 2K characters.Comment

I think signing Rose was a nice move for New York, really low risk, solid reward move but they're not winning a ring anytime soon.Last edited by Vni; 06-27-2016, 08:03 PM.Comment

FWIW, Pau should go to OKC (like he almost did a few years ago), assuming KD also re-signs.Comment
