Eric Gordon has apparently narrowed his choices down to Memphis and the Knicks.

It will never happen, but I would love to see an NBA with a salary cap, but no max contracts. LBJ & Durant are worth more than 10 Dellys and should be paid accordingly. The way the system is currently set up the owners are forced to spread the money around so role players that can easily be replaced are grossly overpaid.

In an Iron Man movie they aren't paying "Street thug # 2" 3 million. Downey Jr. gets paid and everyone else is replaceable.

Free agent center Justin Hamilton has agreed to a two-year, $6 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets, league source tells The Vertical.

In that scenario...the owners will just pocket the difference.

          It's hairy.

The players have a right to a cut of that TV money. It's just that the GMs act like they're playing with Monopoly money.

Did Milwaukee basically bid against themselves for Dellevedova? I would think so. (BTW...I don't think his contract is as bad as most here are making it out to be).

Would you prefer the NFL where they have these same big money deals but no guaranteed money?

I can't get mad at the players for getting paid. But these 'years of service' contracts are just nuts. If you're garbage, you're garbage.

I don't know how they got that into the CBA.

It's a players union, not a Superstars union. There are far more Kent Bazemores in the constituency than Lebron James. Gotta remember that.

At this point, Orlando has clearly turned their attention to next year's free agent market. Cool.

I understand the market is crazy, but it feels weird to pay Green $15 mil to either sit on the bench and not even be our sixth man or start him and take away even more time from both Hezonja and Gordon.

At this point I'm just waiting for Hennigan to trade Vooch for table scraps.

Man I'm sorry, but even if he was serious there's not a chance in hell Dwyane Wade is signing on to play in Milwaukee of all places.

There would be a cap and a floor just like now, but it would make being a GM a real challenge.

Do I sign a superstar that is going to take 75% of my cap or spread that money amongst a team full of solid guys?

In baseball they can pay a single player guaranteed money any amount they want. Not sure why it can't happen in the NBA.

I agree the Union will never let it happen because the average Joes are reeking the benefits. But if the stars really wanted to play hardball they could. The new media deals were not signed because people want to watch Kent Bazemore.

Joakim's deal would have to be majorly reworked, and I doubt that's happening now. I have no idea why we were even mentioned.
