You're 100% correct and it will be one of the biggest choke jobs ever. There is a TON of pressure on him now.

Just doesn't have the same "flare" to it if that makes sense. Sure he'll win with the Warriors but they can win it without him.

Why not go to a different team and make yourself a true legacy?

            Winning is winning

You're absolutely right. Winning is winning. I just think and it's my personal opinion, that he took an easy way out.

OKC was perfectly capable of beating GSW but they fell short, just like GSW did against the Cavs.

I just believe that it would be better for him to get his legacy done with a team that would beat one of the best teams in the NBA. I would want to be one of the faces of a particular franchise. Right now it's still Curry. *shrug*

I'm not an "armchair bitter fan" anymore than anyone else is. It just seems like, especially how his "views" were on going to stacked teams, that he could have made a better choice for himself.

Winning with GSW doesn't really make his "legacy" amazing. It gives him a chased ring to be honest.

Like if he wins a ring with GSW this coming year, people won't be like "wow amazing", they'll be like "lol well what did you expect".

Peter Holt relinquished his CEO role to his wife during this past season. It is believed that his health is in decline, but those are just rumors.

(I'll find a link to the story.)

I understand Peter's reluctancy to pay such exuberant contract, he is one of if not the least wealthest owners in the NBA, in such a small market like San Antonio. He was trying to do what he thought was best for his side.

I'm for a healthy successful league and playing the players what the absolutely deserve.

Roy Hibbert to Charlotte for 1-year, $5 mill.

Clearly the free agent signing of the day.

OKC wasnt capable of anything, thats why they didn't win.

                        Almost aint good enough.

Durant and Westbrook aint getting younger and management keeps trading away talent, relying on those two more and more

They ran their course... you don't have forever to win a ring.

Dudes are out here tripping off of their personal fantasies and think everybody cares that they're mad

Like Screamin A. upset because he told everybody Durant was going to LA, and now that he's in GS he's even more mad because his ince of credibility is shot up like an al capone target practice wall.

                        The meltdowns are unreal

I remember when this was the case for LeBron.

Yet when LeBron was about to go 2-5 in the Finals, no one was saying, "Its really 0-5 because I don't count those two ring chasing championships."

It will pass. LeBron has 3 rings and everyone knows it.

People talking about pressure. Try being Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing or Karl Malone talking about retirement with no rings and feeling that real pressure.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

For all of those like me who thought this was unprecedented, it seems it's not that unprecedented. Moses Malone signed with the 76ers, who were coming off a Finals loss to the Lakers, after his 82 MVP season. They won the Finals and he won MVP in 83 lol.

                              RIP Moses.
