This will help his legacy. If they do what they're supposed to do, 3 championships in 4 years, a 3 peat, god forbid 4 for 4, he's going to be remembered as a piece of one of the greatest dynasties in modern sports history.
I originally was upset at him for leaving a "winning" situation as well but they hadn't won, and OKC sucks. Period. They made a Finals appearance and traded the 3rd best player so they didn't have to pay him. They had the best regular season team of all time on the ropes 3-1, blew it, and they traded the 3rd best player again so they didn't have to pay him.
People saying they had to move Ibaka for the future of the franchise...i don't necessarily disagree with the trade if they feel this way, but this is a decision they made independent of their superstar. You don't do that. When you have 2 of the best 5 players in the game, you make moves for this season, not to avoid the ****ing luxury tax. It makes me sick thinking about it man. NBA would've had to ban Dolan from the league, this dude would've been trying to figure out ways to sign all 3 to lifetime deals and these guys just blew the most fortuitous franchise situation in years.
Moving to a new city, **** team with a superstar already included. We suck, get Westbrook. Do it again, get Harden and they threw it all away. I couldn't be mad at Durant if I tried lol, im trying to figure out why these guys even own a team.
