re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Bruh OJ you seriously trying to say it would've been better if he went to the Spurs? A 67 win team? That would've been better for his legacy? Durant joining the "lowly Spurs", a full 3 years after their last chip, and pushing them "over the top" is better?
My only alternative to GS was Boston. I think if they sell it right, they had a good team minus one major piece, you can be basketball royalty, they'll treat you like Bird, you and Tom can get your balls down to the right PSI, etc. But if it wasn't them, why would he choose Texas and a team that won 67 games over Cali and a team that won 73?Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Lol @ KD joining the Spurs, it would be OK. It's bad to join a 73 win team but join a 67 win team, then it's all good.
Do y'all hear yourselves? Lol

not just boston, but the clippers. durant, with the clippers, would have to average at least 25 and pretty much be the closer to win the title imo.Comment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
But yeah, that's a bit silly...I don't take issue with the fact he signed with a good team at all. He was going to sign with contender either way. Still just kinda meh on the fact he signed with the Warriors in particular after last year...
Even if we disagree about every thing else, I think we can all agree it was a great decision for his career and a hell of an upgrade from his current situation. I still don't think Presti did that horrible of a job...but hey...it wasn't enough apparantly so he acted accordingly which is fine. It's the same thing a lot of us said in 2011 and were met with 'but Mo Williams though' lol
Folks thinking clearer now.Comment

Re: Durant - getting tired of these hot takez saying "Durant just took a better/easier job, think of it as a promotion. Who doesn't do that?"

The one from Miami? He just wants attention then because I'm pretty sure nobody left has that kind of cap space but like Denver and Philadelphia. Maybe he should have been in the country looking to get that kind of money deal done early instead of chilling on the banana boat with Bron and CP if this is true.

Brooklyn has the space to sign Wade.
But I'm not trying to spend $40 Mil to sign a declining 34-35 year old. Avoid him like the plague, Big Sean.#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm not saying the Spurs are lowly lol. I meant at least he wasn't joining the team that just beat him and already sitting on top.
