Bill Simmons says Bosh told him off camera when they filmed his HBO show that he feels confident about coming back to play.

Main thing is that he misses playing.

From what I heard earlier today they are still on the hook for some of his contract and they can't wipe it all out. But it could have wrong, don't know.

That's the interesting part. If he's healthy, you take him no worries but the risk he clots again is real and you would prefer he don't play and is off the books. Don't think the NBAPA would be keen with the Heat sitting him if he's cleared to play it if it's even legal if he's cleared.

It's just interesting and exciting as a Heat fan. If the young guys can take another step? Will Whiteside improve again? Winslow and Richardson? Riley trading? Dragic without Wade back to Suns days? Cap space next year?

Yes they have traded picks but they have next year's 1st if it's a struggle and 2018 is top 7 protected. I'd hope Pat would have done something by then.

That's how I'm looking at it anyway.

Yeah he is, but I'm saying if he's out for a year is when they can wipe it.

Otherwise his contract is guuranteed.

I believe like a teams top 4 or 5 guys can be put on that kind of insurance

His contract won't count against the cap but he would still get paid what he's has left.

A damn steal for portland. Was very glad to see its a 2 yr deal for only 7.4 mil with team option. Low risk high reward deal. Was worried it'd be a max contract or close to it.
