This seems like a minimal change. They talked a good game, but at the end of the day this seems like a win, for the "make your free throws" crowd.

On fouls in the last 2 minutes of any quarter and on fouls before the ball is inbounded.

Hopefully that kind of foolishness is gone for good, if not, then it needs to be a Flagrant 2, ejection. That stuff just can't be allowed.

Take it with a grain of salt because it's coming from a friend of a friend and these things often times fall apart anyways, but a guy I know is friends with one of the guys in the Celtics front office, and the front office guy told his friend that the following trade is in the works:

To Boston: Blake Griffin

To Clippers: Marcus Smart, Rudy Gay, 2 Brooklyn picks

I'm sure it's been discussed but this is the players fault, not the owners. The owners are the ones that saw this coming and wanted the slow cap rise rather than the giant spike, but the union wasn't having any of that. Silver also wasn't the main man in charge during the last CBA negotiations either, so I actually believe him. You could argue that the owners could've pushed back harder on the players but they didn't and it is what it is.
