My guess is he did it directly in front of an officer, which may have left the officer no choice but to arrest Green.

I've dealt with that stuff at clubs with Carolina Panthers players. Sometimes you have to step in and make an arrest before things go crazy and it's a full out brawl.

        Barkley said good for Draymond:

TNT analyst and Charles Barkley, no stranger to run-ins with fans during his playing days in the NBA, was more aggressive in his backing of Green on Dan Le Batard’s ESPN Radio show Tuesday morning.

“Good for Draymond Green,” Barkley said before adding that the media have given fans power on social media “to say anything they want about these professional players.”

Barkley then said the media “read these fools’ tweets. Y’all make them feel like their opinion is important. Y’all have given these fans a voice where they think they can disrespect these players because of the amount of money they make and things like that. So, more power to Draymond for slapping the hell out of that kid, whoever he was.”

I think the change that is being overlooked is this one:

For inbounds situations, a defensive foul at any point during the game that occurs before the ball is released by the inbounder (including a “legitimate” or “natural” basketball action such as a defender fighting through a screen) will be administered in the same fashion as an away-from-the-play foul committed during the last two minutes of any period (i.e., one free throw and possession of the ball).
Basically any defensive foul, intentional or not, on an inbounds play is going to now be a free throw + the ball back. It will be really interesting to see how the jostling and holding that occurs during out of bounds plays will be called/ref'd now...lots of potential ramifications with this one here.

Silver also wasn't the main man in charge during the last CBA negotiations either, so I actually believe him. You could argue that the owners could've pushed back harder on the players but they didn't and it is what it is.
And now the players are going to push right back.

First thing they'll ask for: 50/50 split of BRI or for the owners to give some of it back, which ain't happening.

                  I agree with you Pack.

But there has to be something wrong with this KD situation. You can't draft a player. Develop that player. Go to the finals with that player. **** the players makes a huge name for himself under your team. And then he just up and leaves. When LeBron and Bosh (Even Melo) left at least the Heat sent picks to their teams. But to lose a player without anything in return that's a very very scary thought in my opinion. For get about the powers of the teams/conference completely changing. Drafted players should have something on them. I know the NFL has Franchise Tag thing. Which I know won't work in the NBA. Because players should have some sort of free market. The thunder not getting anything in return really hurts here.

23 is gonna come in here with the quickness and shut down the OKC sympathizers lol.

Seriously though, they sold out their stadium for years, merch sales, concession sales, they maximized their profits and the things that they cared about. Only thing he didn't give them was a title and they dont care anyway.

This is bigger than KD and OKC. The last thing they need to add is something that restricts players even more and to be giving teams picks because THEY couldn't keep a player.

Players are free too leave in free wgency legally if they want to.

Teams get rif of players all the time.

Is it fair they bought a team and lied to the fans then moved said team out of the city?

If they dont trade RWB and he leaves its their own fault

The owner shouldn't have been a cheapskate

Think about how they just threw harden a take it or leave it offer then shipped him out.

                              Same for Ibaka...just bye bye

9 or 10 years is more than enough. Careers dont last forever. OKC couldn't get it done.

I could literally name a ton of more things to disagree with the reasoning that its wrong for him to leave for nothing.

Thats bad planning on their part.

“What I’m hearing here in Las Vegas from some GMs is that they think not only Russell Westbrook will get traded, that it’ll be sooner than later,” Beck said in a video posted Wednesday morning, “and that the most likely destination now would be the Boston Celtics.”

When Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors, he also left a huge vacancy on the OKC roster. In the wake of KD's departure, Russell Westbrook might soon follow suit...
