I wonder if teams that have no shot of making the post season are going to completely bring their best the night they play GSW. I also wonder if it'll even make a difference.

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
It's crazy to me that a lot of people actually think that it's a reasonable take to find the Barkley to Houston, and especially Malone to L.A. even the slightest bit comparable to this situation? Really?Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Totally cause ya know, Barkley and Malone were definitely in their primes when they joined Houston and LA respectively. So it's easily the same thing.Comment

Rag on KD for joining a loaded GSW team in order to put himself in the best position to win a ring when fans, talk radio pundits and sports media put such a heavy emphasis on how many rings a player has to determine their place in history.
Seems hypocritical to me.Comment

If we sweep them, that's like winning the championship in my eyes.#RespectTheCultureComment

It's just being a bit weak is all. In my eyes, if he wins this year with GSW I believe there will be that * next to his name in the championship.
It would be a totally different story if he went to the Spurs or Clippers, etc. Even though the Spurs are a 63 win team, it's different still.Comment

I gotcha man.
Planning 2 years in advance to go play with your best friends on another team = Good. "BUT HE WANTED TO WIN AND WANTED TO GET RINGSZZZZZ!"
Leaving your team to go join a team who had the best record in the regular season and played in the Finals = Cardinal Sin of Basketball.

Can't we all just agree 50% of us think it was weak and easy way out and the other 50% understand the decision and don't think it affects his legacy? Feels like we been talking about this for 100 pages and not going anywhere lol. Although not much else to talk about.

There's a bit of a difference here though. He just played GSW in the finals being up 3-1 and then got beat, and then he's going to join that team? OKC was perfectly capable of beating them but they didn't.

I know, man.
I know. I'll just sit back and watch the double standards and hypocrisy to continue like it has since Monday.

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
Us Sports Fans love putting qualifications on everything, especially NBA Fans lol.
To be a HOF, you must:
-Take 1 pay cut at minimum
-Lead a team from last place to the Finals in 2 years or less.
-Play with the same team for at least 10 consecutive years.
-Not change shoe contracts
-Not make max contract money.
What else am I missing?Comment
