This one is out of left field.

        Guy just got fired, no?

Seems like desperation on both sides.
You mean not liked by the Morris twins.

That whole Phx situation was a mess starting and ending with management

Guys in Utah who played under him while he was an assistant say that they loved him. He's a good coach, it's just too bad a couple bad apples in Phoenix ruined it for him. Think he got screwed by the Suns IMO.

He "overachieved" his first year but that trade last February really set them back and then injuries added to insult the last year and a half. And obviously the rift between the front office and everyone else.

I'm also in on him because he's not Rambis.

Hornacek will be the 11th different coach to be hired in the NY Area since 2010(counting both the Knicks/Nets)

Or in other words, Melo's 5th coach in his 6 years in NY.

Consistency. These teams in NYC lack it.

Looks like D'Antoni to the Rockets is taking shape. Per Woj...

As Rockets move toward formal offer to Mike D'Antoni, organization working to shape strong staff around him, sources tell @TheVertical.

Dwight Q & A...the rehab of the perception/opinion of Dwight continues. Some interesting tidbits, but not sure what is believable/spin on his part.

ESPN: You mentioned your season in Houston didn't end the way you wanted. You have also admitted you were "disinterested" during parts of the year. Why was that?
Howard: "There were times I was disinterested because of situations that happened behind the scenes that really hurt me. It left me thinking, 'This is not what I signed up for.'''
ESPN: What specifically are you referring to?
Howard: "I felt like my role was being reduced. I went to [Rockets general manager] Daryl [Morey] and said, 'I want to be more involved.' Daryl said, 'No, we don't want you to be.' My response was, 'Why not? Why am I here?' It was shocking to me that it came from him instead of our coach. So I said to him, 'No disrespect to what you do, but you've never played the game. I've been in this game a long time. I know what it takes to be effective.'''
                            Morey declined comment.

Roflol @ no we dont want you to

I mean its a given Dwight is gone but did he tell that right?

Dude is gonna have to accept a different role and hopefully smart coach can get that through to him.

I just dont think HOU is that place.

                              Hiring Dantoni too lolololol

                              He is gone

Continuing to reinforce why I'd pass on Dwight no matter what team I was in charge of.

And I HIGHLY doubt Morey said "No, we don't want you to be." Pretty obvious he's chosen to forget other important parts of the conversation and/or skewed what was actually said to what he thought Morey meant.

But a player telling the media that I said that to them, even if I did, is more reason I don't want anything to do with that player.
