We were supposed to see "God Mode Lebron" in Game 4 too. I'm not even expecting no more because I don't think it exists anymore.

Hell, I'm not even it would matter against this particular team especially if they continue playing ISOBall and nobody else moving on Offense for most of their possessions.

The Cavs should absolutely win this game imo. If they don't, I think it'd have to be a sad performance from them as a team even if they're on the road. I just think they're a better team than GS without Dray. With that said, it's one game and GS could very well still win if the right players get hot.

      Following up on that:

Draymond Green as a defender in Finals:

      LeBron James 5-of-14, 4 TOs
      Kevin Love 5-of-13
      Kyrie Irving 4-of-12

Small sample and not a lot of context, but the point is that he's their most versatile defender on D and playmaker on O, so he's going to be sorely missed.

Man, I just hope we have two more GOOD basketball games to finish the season.

These playoffs & finals have been underwhelming. You know it's bad when the last 20 or so pages have been about Bron Bron being up in his feelings, not about the games (or lack thereof).

LeBron has no more excuses and the Warriors third best player is not playing tonight; put-up or shutup

EDIT: And what's going on with Lebron getting into the paint just to do this awkward *** 2K like jump pass? He needs to be Finishing the play and attack the rim. Missed FT's or not.

Considering home court, the extra motivation of the Green suspension, the fact that Smith, Love and Kyrie have been garbage in Golden State while the GS bench has played great, I think they can definately take this without Green. I realise how much an handicap this is though but I trust Iggy to take on the challenge and do a great job.

I know what he does is uber important to how they play. Been saying that all season.

I think there are other factors as to why people think they can win at home.

Not to mention he's the leading rebounder on a team that can get beat on the boards. Pretty sure Kerr will put Iguodala in the starting lineup so Lue should go back to starting Love and see if he can get going on HB. Love should be the one who benefits the most from this and takes advantage.

They certainly could. It's not that I'm surprised people are picking them to win, I'm just surprised to see a large majority picking them. I'd love to see this series end tonight, I just don't think it's going to.

I think people want to see it capped off. Only so much cleveland the general nba fanbase cares about, and as soon as lebron leaves it'll be a ghost town again

                      To add to your point:

Stephen Curry has scored just 26 points in the playoffs – only eight in the NBA Finals – without Draymond Green on the court.

The Warriors face numerous challenges with Green suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight, but perhaps no eligible Golden State player is more significantly affected than Curry.

Curry has become dependent on Green – Green’s defense, screen-setting, shooting and passing. Curry is and deserves to be the back-to-back reigning MVP, and he drives the Warriors’ success more than anyone. But within their ecosystem, Curry has mostly thrived with Green at his side.

There’s a reason Curry has played 91% of his minutes this season with Green. Steve Kerr knows what he’s doing, and Green complements Curry so well.

Green’s defensive versatility and ability to switch is instrumental to Golden State’s preferred scheme – one that allows a fair amount of ways to hide Curry. Curry is no defensive slouch, but not forcing him to stick with elite opponents eases his burden.

On offense, Green sets great screens for Curry and spaces the floor himself. Green’s elite passing for his position makes it harder to double team Curry. Trap Curry, and he gets the ball ahead to Green in a 4-on-3 situation. Now, the Cavaliers will be more likely to risk Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes or Andrew Bogut making a play with a man advantage.

Here’s how Curry’s shooting numbers change with Green on the court to off (regular season and playoffs):

                      Field-goal percentage: 50% to 43%
                      3-point percentage: 46% to 36%
In the regular season, Golden State outscored opponents by 20.1 points per 100 possessions with Curry and Green on the floor. With Curry and without Green? It fell to just +1.0.

We’re dealing with a small sample of Green-less minutes for Curry, but:

                      1. There’s a reason it’s a small sample. The Warriors know they’re better off pairing Curry and Green as much as possible.

                      2. As a result, this will be unfamiliar territory for Curry. As great as he is, Curry is clearly comfortable playing with Green.

                      3. Curry has produced relatively poor results in the limited sample. It’d be less encouraging if he struggled over a larger sample, but any struggles should cause concern. The only debate is the degree.

Now, against a very good Cavs team – one whose matchup problems with Golden State are far less pronounced with Green sidelined – Curry must confront the challenge head on.

Curry is shooting just 10-for-31 without Green on the floor in the postseason. Curry might need to make more shots in this game alone for the Warriors to clinch a championship tonight.

I keep waiting for LeBron to take over. I mean, I don't get it. He is getting down near the basket with ease.

I don't watch as much regular season basketball as I used to, is this just how he is now? I've never seen him so passive and reluctant. I saw a glimpse in game 3 when he sped past Klay and went for the dunk... Only to have Green reject it.

I have no more excuses for LeBron, put up or shut up.

Dubs still have Iguodala whose equally as good defensively it impacts the others mainly on switches and stuff. Love should have a good game. emphasis on Should. he has no excuse.

He will be missed for many reasons, but these numbers don't mean much in a vacuum. What are the similar numbers when they are played by guys that are likely to replace him (Iggy, Barnes for the most part)?

As much as Green is missed, I still think GS closes it out tonight with another great effort from the bench, and with Steph and/or Klay playing as expected. An inspired Lebron could make it more interesting, and Kyrie taking his act on the road for a change could seal a Cavs victory... but at best I see one of these two things happening, not both.
