What's bleak is that the 76ers real roster is not heads & shoulders above their summer league squad, lol. They're going to need Stauskas to be able to shoot and open up the floor.
I know people keep saying it. But I will join the Ben wagon after a few regular season games. Waaay too early to compare him to LeBron (even at that age).

I expecting BIG things from this guy next season.

You completely missed everyone's point. No one is comparing him to prime Bron, they're comparing him to rookie Lebron which is fair IMO.

Yeah that's true but I thought like many did 3 was way to early to pick him. Of course I hope I'm wrong and eat my words but we'll see.

I already picked him as my vote for MIP next year. Book it (pun intended).

I agree with everything you said.

Is Simmons considered fast? You guys would know more about that then I would. I guess on any other team he would probably play PF/SF. Completely agree he is one of the stronger rookies ive seen in recent memory.

I meant no disrespect about the comparison to Lamar Odom. If he develops a consistent jumper he becomes a different player.

Somebody give Ingram a steak or something.

Have not been excited for a draft class in a while.

Simmons has looked very impressive to me. He has that maturity to his game. If he ever gets a reliable jumper wich he should if he put in the work then he's going to be special.

                  Re: 2016 Summer League Thread

I don't really feel he's way ahead of a young Odom athletically. I mean he's nowhere near the LeBron level, Wiggins is much closer from that perspective.

Maybe slightly ahead of young Odom, lower than a guy like Grant Hill. That's his range to me.

If he develops a jumper that just makes the Odom comparison closer IMO. That was always one of Odom's strengths. Obviously his ceiling is much higher than Odom.

Now if he comes out and drops 25&9 in his first game shooting 60%, drops 41 with 13 assists, has 20+ games scoring 25+ points, then maybe I'll lean a little more towards LeBron-ish potential. But a few decent Sumer league games aren't much to go by considering he wasn't really wow-ing us at the college level.

Just caught the Suns/Celtics game. This time around Chriss looked real good. I remember seeing he was a bad rebounder but looked fine to me. Those put back dunks were nasty.

Bender didn't do anything or even tried. He was way too passive. Both guys definitely need some time to develop but I like what I've seen from both of them.

Ulis, man i really like this kid. He's a true PG, tough, runs the floor and plays D. Surprised he dropped to the 2nd round. He needs to get time this year and not waste away on the bench.

Alan Williams has been a beast the last two games too. We definitely need have this guy on the roster.

Not a horrible comparison, I think that's the one Jalen made on draft night.

I just don't know that he's quite the scorer Hill was, especially LeBron as well. But maybe, he seems like an 18-20 ish a night guy to me as of right now. Maybe I'm off base on that though.

I do find it humorous that he has a few flashy passes and it's back to LeBron comparisons.. But the he's averaging 10ppg, 5apg right now, shooting in the 30's% despite not taking any deep balls. So I'm not sure if people are just looking at a few highlights to make those comparisons or what.
