Ha...he already said multiple times that if he has to sacrifice stats for the team to succeed/progress further, he'd surely do it. The man doesnt have as big an ego as your post describes. Fact is, superstars make super plays, every great player would demand the ball in the end, great players demand the ball. You can continue to expect that in that situation, not bitch about it. its not like it was in the middle of 2nd Q on a fast break, it was in the moments where games are decided. if paul makes that shot, noone complains, but your post is like on of those C's fans at realgm, ready to massacre their star because of a play in preseason. Getbuckets, tonyallen and jiri welsch put together couldnt make up for the loss of Pierce. Dont look at RD's one 20ppg season in CLE and think that he could adequately fill in for Paul. Let me tell you this: having depth at a position doesnt mean youre best guy at that position becomes expendable. The lakers have a glutton at G/F, but they dont talk bout trading kobe, thats because they appreciate him. Some Boston fans are some of the most unappreciative fans anywhere.

LeBron has a history with Ricky Davis (nasty fallouts in the locker room), GP (the only player he had a verbal back-and-forth with last season) and now PP.

Celtic games are going to be very interesting this season.

I wish the Cavs could pick up an Oakley/KMart type of enforcer....

I remember GP talking the crap out of Ricky Davis early in the season. Payton came down on a fast break, made a crazy spin move, leaving Ricky in the dust, but got his shot blocked out of bounds by Boozer. He just disregarded Boozer's block, went up to Ricky, and trashed him out saying, "I spun the **** out of you!"

I think that was the same game he got into Lebron's head as well.

And the Celtics knocked the Cavs out of the playoffs last year pretty much, so I can definately see this turning into a rivalry. And is it just me, or does Lebron look older this year and a little bit more beefy?

                        Re: A new rivalry brewing...

You dont understand... ya if its a half court set you go to Pierce as the number one option (but even then if it doesnt materialize you go to option 2) - this was an opportunity for a high percentage bucket, not a deep jump shot with a lot of time on the clock.

Paul isnt Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant - ya hes a star but as we saw last year hes not capable of just doing as he pleases out on a basketball court. When he tries to do too much he loses the ball and his FG% drops a ton.

If the Celts are gonna play up to their potential Paul is gonna have to give up points, even in key situations.

I would take an easy fastbreak basket with 2:00 left over a half court set in which Paul takes his man one on one. Its higher percentage and will help the team more

                        The dynasty will return

:y4: Is that what they call baby fat? :y4: Maybe it has some truth, the more babies Shawn Kemp produced, the more fat he got, so it just makes you think.
