    Re: 10/25 - 10/31 Games Discussion Thread

Just now getting caught up with all the nba action.

    Watched Knicks and Cleveland.

Cleveland just looked so comfortable playing together. LeBron knows where everybody is at all times. It's like he has a chip on Love, he finds K Love constantly for good shots.

Kyrie just looks like its his time, looked like a vet last night. Obviously it's gonna be very hard to knock out Cleveland, if they stay healthy.

Knicks just looked lost. Rose was slashing, but made some really bad to's, Melo was in typical ball stoppage mode. Porzingod was effective, but not utilized enough imo. Just not a team on the same page yet.

Knicks might just be fun on paper, time will tell.

Hearing Barkley saying Klay is the second best player in the league was just the last straw for me.

I used to like Barkley, but he's just as bad as Screaming A, Bayless, Cowherd, etc.. now. Tired of these attention whores. Klay over Durant? Man get the **** outta here, that's not even a hot take, that's just idiotic.

Well what he actually said was All-Around player. I don't think he necessarily meant 2nd best player period. His statement is no different than what everyone used to say about Pippen.

Knowing Barkley, I'm 100% certain he meant 2nd best player.

He's in prime, mid season Hot Take mode one night in.

I hate player ranking lists with a passion. But I don't even find it arguable.

It's Lebron, KD and everyone else. Maybe Kawhi makes that next step this year. But neither one is near those two right now.

Oh yeah, I don't agree with him either.

I just meant he's doing the same **** people were doing then. Trying to use the all-around narrative to falsely claim a good player is better than an elite one. Just like the Pippen situation. He had to get that best all around player crap thrown his way, meanwhile guys like Hakeem and Robinson are winning MVP awards, DPOY awards, scoring titles, etc.

Is it really LeBron then KD and then everyone else though? KD is what, 10 years into the league now and has never even sniffed an All-NBA Defensive team. KD is probably the best scorer in the world and he's improved tremendously over the years as a playmaker. But he's never been a lockdown defender.

Kawhi is only 25 and still on an upward trajectory. I think he makes his case as the league's #2 player this year. Dude's already a 2x DPOY and looks like he may have arrived or his certainly on his way to being a 25+PPG scorer.

Chuck is basically saying what you're saying without the break down. It comes to the point of how much better is KD's offense than the impact of a two-way scorer/defender. If KD's defense was a liability then there would be more of an argument. But he's not a bad defender, he's just not elite.

Regardless, Westbrook to me is over all of them by the all-around measure. He was giving nearly 50 points a night last year when you account for his points and assists, and that's at only 34 minutes a night. A better rebound than all them, especially when you factor that KD is a 7footer, top 5 defensive guard, better transition finisher, better post up player, and so on.

Warriors couldn't even make it one game without a warning for flopping. Surprised Sideshow Flop didn't get one either. Here's the flop that garnered the warning:

                          <div style="width: 100%; height: 0px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.250%;"><iframe src="https://streamable.com/e/pmy7" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen scrolling="no" style="width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;"></iframe></div>

Kawhi is definitely on the rise, but do i think he's done enough to justify being in Durant and Bron's league? No.

Durant is still a step above Kawhi. Kawhi isn't a pure scorer like Durant is, now if he gets to that 25ppg range then yes we can talk about it. Kawhi obviously is the better defender. But Durant is no slouch on D and even improving in that facet of his game, and he rebounds and can get off any kind of shot he wants. Off the bounce, you name it. So to me KD is sitting comfortably at the 2 spot.

I agree, if I had to pick someone other then Durant at 2, it would be Westbrook. But to me it's still firmly Durant.
