Didn't someone on Washington also display displeasure with Washington fans cheering for Durant last season?

(Edit. It was Beal agreeing with Durant that it was disrespectful)

Also to be fair to Boston sports (though I know someone could bring up history or whatever) everything turns into the cesspool of racism when it's social media and there's angry people.

Could have been any team and any fans.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

In the end it's not really all that big a deal, and the story will go away in a few days. I know what's going to happen, though. Some fans and the talking heads here are gonna bash him for feeling slighted. And when they do, they should aks themselves why NBA stars don't want to come play in Boston.
No we shouldn't be telling him to do anything. And I don't care that Crowder got pissed I actually like him getting pissed about it. I'm just wondering where it was when we were cheering for the 2nd best player in the NBA last year. Very similar situation to this and Jae wasn't pissed last year (to our knowledge).

I can't speak to why he reacted last night and not when fans did the same when KD came to town. I just think fans cheering a potential free agent target undermines what Jae has done for the organization. I can sympathize with him being offended by them doing so.

I also hate when fans cheer for opposing players in that way. The whole cheering KD when OKC came here, or every damn time Kobe touched the ball in his last game at the Garden, Hayward during pregame introduction. So I'm gonna take Jae's side in the matter.

I'm with Jae. Though they would be pairing Heyward to play with Jae but understand him on this 1000%.

NBA refs continue to be ****. Russ just got a technical foul in Charlotte for accidentally hitting a ref in the head with the ball.

Looks pretty funny tbh. But honestly giving him a technical makes no sense. Either they think it's intentional and he's gotta be ejected or it's unintentional and it's not a technical.

                This. Exactly. All of it.

                It'll get rescinded.

Which is all well and good unless he get's another one tonight and get's ejected from a game that could end up costing his team because the ref's continued incompetence.

Bulls defense looking very swiss-cheesy early in this game

Oh this is reminding me of the good old days of having LeBron surrounded by a bunch of free agent pickups. If there wasn't such a big thing about the Hardwood Classics nights, he wouldn't be out there.

Outscored by 13 in the second, to be expected with Bron missing a chunk of it.

He's out there because of the jerseys? I find that doubtful.

The Cavs make such a big deal of the whole event that they'd want at least one of the superstars out there. With LeBron having the flu I don't think they'd put him out.

Still don't think LeBron would be out there playing if he wasn't ready to go over a jersey night or whatever. I'd say playing against Dwyane had more to do with him playing tonight than anything.

LeBron was sick and not supposed to play but this likely has everything to do with it being against Wade rather than the jersey.

                              Edit: what King said

So they seriously just went back and hit Dougie with a flagrant foul on a play that they didn't blow a whistle on in the first place and that wasn't even close to any sort of intentional contact? He's dribbling the ball and Shump just stuck his face in close and caught an elbow while Doug was driving. They actually reviewed this and STILL got it wrong, even though they shouldn't have been reviewing the play in the first place.
