Nope lol. I think what people are having a negative reaction to is how it has been brought up every minute of every game that OKC have played this season/postseason. Like, we get it. Repeating it over and over doesn't make us think that Russ is getting a raw deal, or that with better players Russ would compete for a title playing this 1 vs 5 style he played all season.

"The Thunder being worse when Russ sits shows that he's the most valuable player in the league."
"The Thunder being worse when Russ sits shows that everyone else on the team sucks."
These are things that are not facts, they are assumptions being made using a fact to support them. There are still plenty of dots that need to be connected and people want to just leap frog over them. That's fine for barbershop talk, but lazy and irresponsible for on air personalities and analysts.Comment

When he was looking like his usual self, nobody would mention anything about that knee. But as soon as he shot poorly, even if it was one game, "Oh man, his injury must be worst than we thought".
Heard it the year before with Lebron and his elbow too.#RespectTheCultureComment

Reminds me of the Steph/Knee issue last postseason.

It's not the statement that's the problem. It's the conclusion/correlations based on it that are.
"The Thunder being worse when Russ sits shows that he's the most valuable player in the league."
"The Thunder being worse when Russ sits shows that everyone else on the team sucks."

Simmons on CP3.
Eight years later, the Clippers are expensive and hopeless. They charge hefty prices for a noncontender with a broken nucleus. They pay Doc Rivers one of the NBA’s biggest non-player salaries to coach AND assemble the roster, in case you’re wondering how the Clippers started the second half of Game 5 with ancient Paul Pierce and rock-throwing Luc Mbah a Moute as two of their five. (My God.) It’s not funny. It’s just sad. Everyone in my section waited for two hours for the Clippers to blow Game 5. They did. That’s a rough place to be.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Yeah I don't know about that for what it was in the moment, but it definitely had a 4th quarter explosion but it wasn't just Kawhi scoring only this time.Comment
