Did the Cavs drop confetti when they won? Just curious...it was a topic on sports radio this morning...

That tied in with the fact our players aren't good defenders in general leads to what you see.

I doubt Bird fires him this summer because based on his history he gives his coaches multiple years. Which is actually a good trait as a GM, but bad at the same time... IMO Nate needs to go like right now lol.

Our only real hope is PG makes all NBA and resigns and Bird can salvage something with this roster over the summer, but honestly it's hard not to be pessimistic. It's looking more and more like we're gonna lose PG and be stuck in the lottery for awhile.

Isnt Gordon Hayward going to be a FA this season? If he is, and Im Bird, I dont wait on PG and hope he resigns after next season. I go get Gordon Hayward, and bring him home. Pair him with PG for 1 season, Bird wants to play small ball, play Gordon at PF, or go with PG at 2, and Gordon at SF. Or you trade PG and get something for him this summer, and bring Gordon Hayward back home. I always figured Hayward would end up in Boston with his old coach, but if he is offered the chance to go back home and play, he might just take it.

Miles Turner will continue to improve on his D, along with his back to the basket, so our interior D will get better with time, he is young.

All because PG hasnt signed the max deal yet that is waiting for him from the Pacers, doesnt bother me too much. Over the years players typcially dont leave us in FA that we want to keep. Yes Lance did, and look how that went, lol. D West left, but he is at the age where he wanted to go chase that ring, and he knew it was going to be a couple years anyway before the Pacers could make that happen again. Its possible PG decides to go back home to Cali, but I also know he has said what it means to play with just 1 franchise like Reggie did, and like Tamika Catchings did with the Fever and he is close to Tamika. So I still feel there is a good chance he stays put. But if Im Bird, Im not sure I give him all the time in the world to make a decision either, or it could hurt us in the long run if he leaves us high and dry. If he dont sign early this summer, and Im Bird I may make the decision for him, lol. Bird wont sit on his hands and hope and pray PG resigns after next season, IMO, unlike some would do with a star player. I trust Bird, so Im not concerned that we will end up like the Sixers, lol, Bird wont ever stoop to that level nor would our owner.

Did realize LeBron had 4 blocks and 4 steals.

Maybe because he had 36 turnovers lol.

If I was a Cavs fan I would be thankful that the EC sucks, and that they got us in the 1st rd, and then be very concerned at how their team is playing. They might not need to be great to win the EC, but they will need to be at their very best if they have any shot to compete against either the Warriors or Spurs.

They will probably need to be better than they have been against us to even win the EC. We may be the 7th seed, in the East, but in reality we are the worst team in the EC playoffs, as I believe even the Bulls are better than we are.

I really doubt Hayward comes here lol. He's got it good in Utah, why leave? I don't know.. it's possible but I don't see it. But I agree with everything else you said. We can't afford to let PG walk with nothing in return.

I agree Myles will improve but I'm not sure it'll be soon enough. That's the problem. The whole point is to pair him with George, but if George leaves and it's just Myles then it doesn't really matter lol. Then we'll just be hoping for a draft pick to pan out.

The top 3 teams in the west might score 130+ against this cavs team. They will have no shot against whoever comes out of the west imo.

Yeah I think its more wishful thinking on my part about Gordon coming home. Utah has a good team and a improving team each yr with a very good coach, so why leave now when your team is starting to get good. Unless he is home sick, and just wants to come home, I think he stays in Utah, or he might jump to the Celtics due to Brad Stevens being the Coach, and you add him to that team, they could cause the Cavs problems, but the way the Cavs are playing against us, the Celtics may not need anymore to beat them, lol.

Bird will do all he can, with what money he is given to put a quality team on the floor while he is here. Bird dont plan on being a lifer, like some guys do in this business, he has a goal to achieve, and thats bring a championship to his home State, since he didnt do it in his playing days at Indiana St. Larry has some heart problems, and knows he's probably not going to live a long life, so if he cant get it done in the next few seasons, like in 2 at most 3 yr, he will probably give up. As I have heard him say he isnt in this for the long haul, but in his mind he owes it to our State to bring a Championship here.
If he gambles on PG staying and he dont, that might be it for Bird, and he retires for good. My guess is he wont gamble on PG staying, and similiar to when Lance was a FA, he will give PG a deadline, and if its not a done deal, Bird will move on without PG being part of the future here. Just my guess as to what will happen. I do know Larry doesnt plan on doing this to many more years. I also know Larry isnt one to wait around, on a guy, so I dont see him doing it for PG either, and he will have to make a decision on Birds time frame. I will be surprised anyway if Bird goes thru the summer and next season with PG contract hanging in the balance.

Last year was the same. They had played bad defense to end the year and started to up their defense deep in the playoffs. It's a dangerous game to play though defense is something you should want to emphasize all the time.

The Rapters and their coach have just been elected to my all time whiners/crybabies lost respect club.

Since the loss, all we are hearing from the coach on down on how hard and illegal Delly sets screens. They have sent video to the league office and to the refs and if Delly won't be called out on it, they will push and grab like Delly setting screens. He set 18 screens on Saturday.

Interesting, I haven't heard them whimper when Delly set screens for LBJ and company when they played them in the playoffs. Why now? No need to answer that one.

A embarrassing startling loss at home in the playoffs = whiners club.

Haha. Yeah. I highly doubt they have enough switches to flip this year to cover GSW.

Even for the first few games of the Finals the defense was bad. But when it mattered they kept the Warriors to 89 points.
