He's literally not even being covered. As a Celtics fan that's the most confusing part of the series. I expected rebounding issues. I didn't expect Lopez to be left open to hit the easiest shot in the game whenever he wants it.

Re: 2017 Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
I hate to toot my own horn, but this was from two months ago (2/22 at the trade deadline) from the Boston team thread:
The only thing I know for sure is we need a rebounder this year, either someone with an expiring contract or on a low salary. If we don't then I'm not sure if we make it out of the 1st Round, especially against a team like Chicago, who would probably out rebound us by 20 each game.
With that said, damn has this series been depressing on multiple levels right now. Of course, the stuff with IT's sister is a downer, but not an excuse. Boston's shots just aren't falling, they're getting out worked and dare I say out coached, as well? If they don't turn things around the could very well be the first #1 seed in history to be swept by an #8 seed. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'm leaning cry though...Last edited by jeremym480; 04-19-2017, 11:41 AM.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Danny sitting on hands at the deadline is coming back to screw us, but obviously, there's nothing we can do about that now, so our guys just have to play better.

Crowders stock was much higher last year. He's been worthless.
Also i know he isn't great but I like Evan Turners energy off the bench last year. He is lost in Portland, Boston was perfect for him.Comment

Always tends to happen whenever a player complains about the other team playing "too physical".#RespectTheCultureComment

They haven't for any of the series so I'm hoping they don't start tonight.

I'd rather they let guys be a bit physical and just leave the ticky tack stuff alone across the board.
I'm suspicious about the Grizzlies Spurs as well in this regard.

I stand by my original observation of standing with Ainge "sitting on his hands" at the trade deadline.Comment

What else is he gonna do ride it out until the cavs are dismantled?
If so then he's selling the fans a bunch of cheese.

So I ask you this. What move was he supposed to make at the deadline that would please all of those saying Danny Ainge is sitting on his hands?Comment

Danny Ainge like myself saw the same thing when viewing the current roster. They simply are not good enough to compete right now. Trading away anything, no matter of what value, for a player to help you win a playoff round is silly.

I dont know how much credence those trade rumors had though.
Was jimmy butler available really?
I think my point moreso is, instead of putting all your eggs in the KD basket, what else was the plan? You knew Amir wasn't enough for rebounding so you don't address it?
Its about improvement not trying to win the 1st round. He tried to give all those picks to the hornets then just did nothing.
Im not calling him Doc Rivers or anything but man there were several apparent holes, some of the most important biting them right now.
The playoffs just highlights whatever issues teams have.

I am worried about the bigs getting in foul trouble though... both Morris and Gortat have a tendency to make stupid decisions and they're short handed. If they lose, I think that'll be the main reason.Comment

I doubt they will, but don't know if I'd be mad if they do. The Wiz aren't traditionally "tough" so it could backfire with the Hawks trying to toughen up in retaliation.

Just saying any other time it's happened, whistles were being blown every other minute. Hopefully it's not case but based on past history, I'm not holding my breath.#RespectTheCultureComment
