Too early for me to say that after only 1-2 games.#RespectTheCultureComment

Its obvious they aren't good enough.
I dont know how much credence those trade rumors had though.
Was jimmy butler available really?
I think my point moreso is, instead of putting all your eggs in the KD basket, what else was the plan? You knew Amir wasn't enough for rebounding so you don't address it?
Its about improvement not trying to win the 1st round. He tried to give all those picks to the hornets then just did nothing.
Im not calling him Doc Rivers or anything but man there were several apparent holes, some of the most important biting them right now.
The playoffs just highlights whatever issues teams have.

By all accounts neither Jimmy Butler nor Paul George were really available at the trade deadline. Danny Ainge reportedly put the Nets' picks on the table but Indiana and Chicago weren't motivated to make a trade at that time.
To answer your question as to why nothing was done in the offseason to improve their flaws. I think to comes to what not wanting to invest in the current roster. No less than 6 guys will be off the roster after the season so why invest the cap space on the 2016-17 version of the Celtics?Comment

What exactly is the plan though, compete or go young? Once you decide that then you can pick what you want to do.Comment

"Across the board" so more like almost 20 games... but yes, still VERY early. Plenty of time for refs to take up 2/3's of the playoff threads for blowing calls.Comment

I have no idea but I wish he would pick one and be honest with us fans as to which direction we are going in. Either go all in on winning now or rebuilding through the draft.Comment

I'm fine with him not getting pillaged for PG. I don't think a deal with butler was close. I wanted him to get a rebounder but the one he was rumored to get got hurt immediately after the deadline. So it is what it is at this point.Comment

What is wrong with building a team that can stay relevant while GSW and CLE are still super teams while still maintaining a plan to be relevant once their run is over?Last edited by ricky24; 04-19-2017, 01:28 PM.Comment

If you have no direction then you're going nowhere so it won't matter where you are.
If you're not trying to win and just conceding the conference no matyer what then empty promises aren only to keep the fans interested enough to keep making money off of them.Comment
