Well, there goes Chicago. I'll be rooting for Butler and Thibodeau though, Minnesota is looking real good. Whats up with Chicago's front office? Is it that bad over there?

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Already shared it a few posts up. If that's what Jimmy thinks (and I'm sure he does, his trainer is there in Paris with him), then you know that's what the thought around the league is. So what good is a rebuild that we can't attract anybody good to anyway? At least if Jimmy were here you'd have a lure to get people here, now you got nothing but a **** reputation all over again.

Yeah there are alot of quotes from Pax out there.
Said they're rebuilding and he didn't talk to Wade about any of this.
Talking about its good to have a vet on the team when you're rebuilding. Wade gonna ask for a buyout and they're going to give it to him watch.Comment

Ulis is gonna find this guy a lot and Booker has shown he knows how to pass and hopefully will improve this year.

Wizards picked up Kris Jenkins and Marcus Keene last night after the draft.
Anybody familiar with these guys?

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I think Marcus Keene is the guy that lead the nation in scoring and petitioned to round his scoring up to 30 a game even though he fell one basket short. So because that I wasn't a fan of his even though I haven't watched one second of him playing lolRetro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Granted, I think Markannen doesn't bring anything to the table besides a jumpshot and may one day become Andrea Bargnani. If I'm rebuilding my team, I wouldn't consider Markannen a piece to build around and don't think he'd be coveted by other teams in the event I want to move him.
I'm also a bitter Knicks fan.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Soooo next morning and I'm still annoyed beyond belief by this team. The trade is whatever, it is what it is. But once you make the trade, to take this dude Markkanen who from all I can gather reading up on him, can only shoot when you've got Dennis Smith, Malik Monk sitting there is just insanity to me. We basically have the taller Niko and according to Gar on the radio this morning, they still plan to keep Niko.
The biggest issue from last night after that is this second round pick. You couldn't find ANYBODY to take with that pick? I'm struggling to see where the defense in the future of this team is coming from looking at this "core" of Markkanen, Niko, Zipser, Portis, Valentine, Dunn, Post ACL tear LaVine. Bell would have been a great piece to put out there for defense that looks like it's going to be hard to come by with this team moving forward. Gar of course gets on the radio doing and interview and when asked about the decision gives his ridiculous response that they had a list of guys that they had scouted extensively for that spot that they felt fit with their future and they were all gone when they came up, so they felt the flexibility (their favorite ****ing word) was more valuable than just taking a flyer on someone. What kind of horse **** answer is that? That's like saying if everybody you liked at 7 was gone, rather than draft best player available you just sold the damn pick and took the cash. Unfreakingbelivable. I want to be good again, but I almost want this to blow up in their faces so Jerry will FINALLY fire them more.

Thought for sure that's what they would have done. But they're idiots so I shouldn't be surprised.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I thought of you when I saw what the Bulls were doing King. I can understand wanting to rebuild but to me this feels like a year too late. If it's true that the Minnesota deal was the best they could get for Butler than I wouldn't have pulled off that trade and try to trade another commodity. I mean, some of the things the Bulls are doing just look stupid. Hopefully they don't embarrass themselves the way the Knicks organization has done over the last 4 years or so.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
