That Jackson tweet was referencing a boxer, but he took it down because people were confusing it with Markelle.

In other news, amazing trade by Danny. Fultz is overhyped beyond galore. DSJ, JJ and Tatum are all solid picks for the C's.

And next year's draft is gonna be...

If Ball is there at 4, i think Phoenix keeps it.

Hope he'll have a chip on his shoulder and get back at LA for passing om him.

Would rather trade the pick to Sac and give them our Miami pick nexr year for #10

I would love for Ball to end up in Sacramento just to hear his old man rag on the way the Kings are run for the foreseeable future.

Man I really like Fultz I think Fultz is the clear cut player in this draft but the 1st four are still really good players so idk when it comes to Ainge you gotta trust his decision especially on trades his track record there is pretty decent.

I will say I believe the overcrowded backcourt tweet is false. it just screams like the Rozier is untouchable stuff.

I really hope this is part to get Jimmy though because you like Jackson so much and you pick up an extra pick doesn't sound as fun.

That would be some great stuff LOL! Honestly, a fall for Ball would do him some good and reset his priorities. I read somewhere after his workout with the Lakers that he was looking rather out of shape.

Obvious belief from past couple seasons. Pacers put themselves in this predicament. They can't just let him walk away without getting something in return, but they left themselves with very little leverage. With him not making All-NBA, they can't offer him a 5yr-207mill now can only offer 5yr-177mill. The direction of team isn't heading up and very unlikely they can get another star to go to Indiana. They would have been better off trading him last year before Deadline. Now teams are unlikely to trade away future assets for a player who may leave in FA.

                  More on that

Let the Paul George saga continue.

Booming news was dropped on Sunday, with Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reporting that George has apparently informed the Indiana Pacers that he will leave the team in free agency in 2018.

George’s top choice for his landing spot? The Los Angeles Lakers.

We’ve heard rumblings about this for months, but if Wojnarowski’s report is true then it will have a huge impact on the trade and free agency market not only in 2018 but in 2017 as well.

George’s reported informing of the Pacers also allows Indiana to make appropriate plans over the next year.

                  Via Yahoo! Sports:

George hasn’t requested a trade before he can opt out of his 2018-19 contract, but did have his agent, Aaron Mintz, tell new Indiana president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard that he wanted to be forthright on his plans and spare the franchise any confusion about his intentions, league sources told The Vertical.

George can sign a four-year deal worth as much as $130 million with Los Angeles next year. George is a Southern California native and playing for the Lakers would represent a homecoming for him.

George plans to play out the 2017-18 season with Indiana, but wants to give the organization the chance to plan appropriately for its future – which George told the team won’t include him, league sources said.

There now appears to be some kind of expectation that the Pacers and Lakers could initiate a trade for George, so Indiana doesn’t lose him completely as an asset. Julius Randle has been floated in trade talks — he doesn’t appear to fit Magic Johnson’s vision for the team — and could be part of a nice get in a package for George. Then again, if the Lakers are sure they’re going to get George anyway, that trade could come elsewhere.

Indiana lost the opportunity to sign George to a Designated Player Veteran Exception when he missed the All-Star Game this year, but reading the situation at this point it’s hard to tell if that would have been a huge swing for the Pacers as they tried to keep their star. As noted above, L.A. can still give George a $130 million contract.

Meanwhile, the Lakers suddenly are in a great position to expand. With the No. 2 overall pick likely to be Lonzo Ball, a nice little core around D'Angelo Russell, Ball, George, Jordan Clarkson, and Brandon Ingram allows them lots of options around the wing and even more in the trade market.

This is a bummer for fans in Indiana, but we’re still a year away from George being gone. Things change, and the NBA is where crazy happens.
                  Stand pat, Magic.

He'll be there in a year.

Mixed feelings towards the 76ers/C's deal. No issue with Ainge dropping down two spots if someone other than Fultz projected as the better prospect. Was always more about the excitement that comes with selecting a player first overall than Fultz himself for me. To add a possible high lottery pick in doing is major bonus. The protections on the pick is where the mixed feelings come in. Would have liked there to be no protections at all on the pick, but you can't flat out win every trade. Fair deal for both teams as of now. Will have to see how everything pans out over the next few years.

Now I wonder what the next move is for Ainge before the draft is over. Have to believe there is something else brewing we won't know about until Wednesday or Thursday.

One thing is for certain. There are a lot of angry and confused Celtics fans out there. A lot of them really convinced themselves Fultz was THAT guy. Time will tell.

He basically let it be known to warn other teams not to trade for him.

In a way, this makes it a whole lot easier for teams to trade for him now since the Pacers will get nothing if they don't.

It screwed Indy but wont be so bad if they can get the Lakers to bite.

Other teams wont give up much for a year rental

The nutjob Ainge trades away the pick and now Fultz is "overhyped". LOL.

Fultz is the consensus #1 pick in this draft. There is not a consensus every year of the draft.

Stacking picks and then trading them away for future picks/veterans is like a dog chasing its own tail.

People talking about Fultz would create a logjam in the backcourt. When it's the #1 pick you find a way to make it work.

The protections don't seem too bad to me unless I'm missing something.

If the lakers get 2-5 next year it's the celts pick right? Which would most likely give them two great picks.

If the pick is 1 (doubt this happens) or above 5 sixers keep it. If it's above 5 then the celts get the unprotected kings pick the next year. Kings are trash so either way it seems like the other pick in this trade will be decent. Unless I'm missing something like I said.
