Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Even if he's covering for Chicago and saying they were actually beaten in the trade, then he's saying Minnesota robbed them.

2017 Offseason Thread
Love you z Revis, but I think you're just in your feelings a bit (understandably so).
You want George to not mention he is leaving to LA so another team can give up the farm and get screwed over in a year? This is just a situation where someone is going to get screwed no matter what... George made sure it wasn't going to be him, while giving his current team (and any future team) a head's up to limit any other pain.
It doesn't matter what he may have told the GM. If he wasn't ready to make a decision either way at that point, he's not going to hint at anything that would force his hand or give the team an idea to move him before he's decided what his future should be.
It sucks, but there isn't really a situation where the face of a franchise leaving doesn't suck for some side of the equation. Not Butler, KD, LBJ, Melo, Barkley, etc, etc, etc.
I mean.. yes that's exactly what I wanted lol. I don't care if another team gets screwed. I'm a Pacers fan... you expect me to be happy because now we're the ones getting screwed?
If other teams trade for him and give up too much value that's on them. If he leaves anyway, that's on them. They took that risk... Why would I care lol.
That said, I don't agree it was going to suck for one side or the other. It was only going to suck for the Pacers... I don't think any team was going to gut their roster and give us a ton of value back to get him regardless because he's a rental and with all the LA rumors there were even before his announcement teams would be skittish, but now I REALLY don't think teams are going to give us much of anything.
As for your comment on it not mattering what he told the GM, I agree with your point there. But it does matter for everyone acting like it's impossible Bird or Pritchard didn't know. And again it's not just what he said to them specifically, its also his comments the Thursday before last where he was talking up this season and really said a lot more than he could've/should've if he was planning on announcing he was leaving(which he did like 2-3 days later.. odd timing to me, but it is what it is. No one has ever called PG a good pr guy lol).

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
There was, but I guess nobody really cares about it now that the season is over and we're just biding time until July.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Wizards have extended qualifying offers to both Otto Porter and Bojan Bogdanovic.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
He's restricted, so I can see someone making a huge offer to Niko and GarPax continue their horrid management and match it.
They've been saying that he is in their plans for the future and intend to re-sign him. But they also said they want to get younger and more athletic and then about a week later signed Rajon Rondo and then about a week after that signed Dwyane Wade. So what can you really trust out of those dude's mouths.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Would be quite a blow to lose Otto Porter. You think Washington will match the offers from other teams? I can envision him getting one of those what many view as ludicrous contract offers on the open market.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
If they keep both Otto and Bojan they'll go into luxury tax most likely.
For me the big question is Gortat. We need more production from him and better spacing which he can't provide consistently, but our hands are tied as far as trying to bring somebody in this year and possibly next year.
Ernie will hamstring the money and find some way to save his job.
