It's not just the press conference man. Im not gonna rehash everything again.. Pritchard didn't know. This forum didn't know either. No one actually knew until last weekend...

He had a suspicion like the rest of us I'm sure, but was willing to risk it based on conversations with him. Until last weekend anyway.

        Not sure how much to believe in Marc Stein's latest tweet;

League sources: Cavs, Pacers and Nuggets have discussed a three-way deal that would land Paul George in Cleveland and Kevin Love in Denver

It seems everyone is getting hosed but Cleveland. Although Love could be a nice fit in Denver.

Saw that earlier. How they don't even try to reveal what Indiana would be getting back here?

Just saw that Faried would be headed to Cleveland with PG, with it being "unclear" what the exact package Indiana would receive.

Doesn't really seem like a great move for Cleveland against any team but GS lol. Complete match up trade. Paul will end up leaving after the year so they end up worse off in the long run no? I guess it clears Love off the books so they have a little wiggle room once he and PG are gone after next season.

If the Cavs could somehow get some youth on the wing, Gary Harris, Will Barton, or Glenn Robinson out of this trade then it could be a really big move for them.

They're already getting George out of the deal. What sense would it make to send them any of those guys on top of it? If any of those guys moved in the deal, it would have to be to Indy.

Depends what the package is. Depends how badly Denver wants Love. Paul George going to the Cavs has no effect on what Denver wants to do, or what Indy is willing to give up to convince a team to take a rental.

Can't really see that working out in any way unless somebody is just being stupid again. Paul George is the center piece of the deal, so it depends on what Indy wants to do. They can get a better deal than basically getting nothing from Denver for George. Denver has already made it clear that they aren't trading Murray or Jokic. They refused to move either of those in Jimmy Butler talks with the Bulls. The Cavs have nothing to trade BUT Love so they aren't sending anything of worth to Indy. If Indy is getting nothing from Cleveland and Cleveland is getting Paul George, Faried and Gary Harris or Will Barton or Glenn Robinson, then what the hell is Indy getting out of this deal? You don't have to accept a completely trash deal just to move George before he walks. You may as well let him walk and get nothing, than get completely ****ed over in a deal that does absolutely NOTHING but weakens you and another team to make the third team better.

That deal is dead... if you read the article on ESPN about it, that trade was discussed prior to the draft and the teams couldn't agree to a final trade.

I'm sure Denver is offering picks with whatever they are giving Indy. Otherwise I don't see how Indy could even be involved in trade talks. Getting back Love means they aren't getting a rental in return like some of these other teams "better" offers. Boston, for example, isn't giving up future assets knowing George is a rental. Most of this rides on how badly Denver wants Love. They haven't had an All Star level player since Melo left. Wouldn't be surprised at all if none of this is legit though. I don't really think Indy feels pressured to move him.

Salary wise, this is best I could find to make it happen:

                          Cavs with PG,Faried
                          Nuggets with Love
                          Pacers with Jefferson,Tavares

Draft pick wise, Cavs probably have to give up a 2021 1st(since they traded their 2019 pick already),2019 2nd from Wolves/Lakers, 2020 2nd from Blazers and Nuggets give up a 2018 1st and 2nds.

Denver did draft a PF with the #24 pick (they traded down from #13).

But their biggest need is defense:

Nuggets president Josh Kroenke and members of the team’s front office were approached recently with dash of praise Kroenke felt compelled to defer.

So why would they want Love?

They also traded for Lyles on draft day and they have Hernangomez on cheap contracts for the next couple of years.

Maybe they'd take on Love if they could dump some of their other players, like Chandler or even Faried who are the top two highest-paid.

But would Indiana want those players? Or Denver would have to throw in future draft picks.

Another creative pull-up artist like Paul George would help Cleveland against GSW but they need a strong and quick big man as well. Taj Gibson?
