Well, unless him coming back forces Brad Stevens to resign, then he can go to New Orleans or other random team instead.

Though I find it funny how the same guy who just a day or so ago claimed Masai could leave and that Knicks were so confident in getting him, now suddenly back tracks, citing multiple sources, when the only source is that ESPN one. Goes to show how desperate these guys are for stories. I think he was same guy saying Lowry wanted out and caused Lowry to speak out against that report.
Yup, reporters getting exposed for their sources left and right. Now this Calipari crap, it's gonna be a long summer.

Which is why GarPax's dumb asses need to stay away from him is my point. If we're supposed to be rebuilding, then getting people that will potentially help us win more games next year defeats the whole purpose of trading Jimmy and blowing things up. Especially since dude is already 30 years old. He not gonna be here when the team finally gets out of rebuild mode. **** like this is exactly why I've been saying all this time may as well float in basketball hell and be entertained by the try hard teams the Bulls have put out than trust these two imbeciles to do a rebuild because they're incapable of doing it right.

Y'all take these for what they're worth if you do/don't trust Zach Lowe:

A proposed scenario that would see the Celtics sign Gordon Hayward, trade for Paul George, and sign George to a contract extension isn’t realistic, writes Zach Lowe in his latest report for ESPN.com. As Lowe points out, there would be no reason for George to re-up with Boston right away in that scenario unless the could renegotiate a maximum salary, and it would be extremely difficult for the C’s to accommodate such a deal without moving Al Horford.

Knowing that if they acquire George, he could be a rental, the Celtics have thus far been unwilling to include Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, the Nets’ 2018 first-round pick, or the Lakers’ 2018 first-rounder in any of their offers to Indiana, Lowe reports. Lowe’s best guess at Boston’s offer is a package that would include Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, and one of the team’s other first-round picks. The C’s will be reluctant to go much higher than that, given their fear that George could leave in 2018 — Tania Ganguli of The Los Angeles Times wrote on Thursday night that the Pacers forward is still telling friends he expects to be a Laker in 2018.

While George could just be a one-year rental, the Celtics have competition for him. According to Lowe, the Wizards would likely be willing to sign-and-trade Otto Porter and include a first-round pick. The Cavaliers would swap Kevin Love straight up, though that doesn’t interest Indiana much, per Lowe. If the Nuggets get involved again via three-way talks for George and Love, they could offer Gary Harris and a first-round pick, though NBA execs expect Harris to command upwards of $20MM annually on his next contract, which is due soon, says Lowe.

Here’s more from Lowe with the free agent period right around the corner:

Lowe views Hayward as less than a 50-50 bet to stay with the Jazz, with both the Celtics and Heat as legitimate suitors. The ESPN scribe adds that he wouldn’t be surprised if a mystery fourth team ends up getting a meeting with Hayward.

The market for Raptors big man Serge Ibaka and Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari is expected to be in about the $20MM-year-range, sources tell Lowe.

The Sixers have told player agents that they plan on signing one-year contracts in free agency this summer to preserve future cap space. They may also use some of their current cap room to sign Robert Covington to a renegotiated extension, writes Lowe.
Lowe expects the Bucks to sign Tony Snell to a deal in the range of $10-12MM annually.

Despite drafting De’Aaron Fox, the Kings may still spend on a free agent point guard as a veteran mentor, particularly if they decide they want to chase a playoff spot right away, says Lowe.

The Grizzlies are “crossing their fingers” that the market for RFA power forward JaMychal Green isn’t as competitive as expected, according to Lowe.

As far as us, everyone lol. Nobody seems to know anything. Contradicting reports left and right.

When Woj moves to ESPN, is he going going to get his own wing like he has now with the Vertical or just be the goto like Broussard was?

Nah. Just Woj and Marks are leaving. Everyone else is staying with The Vertical.

From what I can tell, Woj won't be having his own wing like he did at Yahoo. Will be no different than a any other "NBA Insider" over at ESPN.

Ainge is gonna have to do better than Smart, Crowder and some other 1st round pick besides the LAL and BKN ones. Those aren't valuable to Indy. Crowder doesn't fit our timeline(assuming we rebuild anyway) at 27 years old and what other 1st round pick do they have to give up? Their own? LAC's which is lottery protected and they just lost CP3 so pretty much worthless now.. Those aren't any good lol. And Smart is super meh.

Pritchard may be asking too much, but he has to get SOMETHING of value. It's like Ainge wants to be a contender and be a rebuilding team at the same time. He's already got Tatum and Brown, 2 other likely high lottery picks yet he's trying to add Hayward and PG while keeping all of his assets? Something has to give there.

No reason to give any pick that could potentially be top 5 or Tatum/brown for one year of a guy. Pacers acting like PG has a great contract situation.

Danny shouldn't be forced to overpay just because he has the assets too.

NY post claiming Masai was interested but compensation for Raptors was an issue. Sounds more like everyone covering their tracks. Basically all sides of story have been claimed as fact.

Ujiri interested, comp not good enough
                                Knicks confident they'll get him
                                Knicks won't be contacting him
                                Ujiri staying with Raptors
