They're not winning **** as long as they have that 6th man of a PG starting for them.

I'm legit sitting here trying to think of recent examples and the only one I have at the moment is Chris Paul going to Houston.

But in this case, Cavs can afford to be patient with this since Kyrie has 2 years left.

Or the Cavs don't trade him, they have a good season, make the Finals again, where anything can happen and all this is mostly forgotten next June.

Deron never requested to be traded specifically to the Nets. Dwight did but he ended up going to LA for a year instead.

I'll give you Melo but we both know that was all Dolan since he was going to NY either by trade or FA that year.

My condolences to you bro. You can tell he wants to play with Jimmy with the whole Minnesota mention.

I mean they really can't get out of their own way. It's apathy at this point for me. I'm going to watch way more T-Wolves games next season.

San Antonio- I highly doubt Kyrie goes to SA. He is the exact type of player which they shy away from. Pop would blow a gasket watching Kyrie dribble the air out the ball while the 4 other Spurs are cutting, flashing, etc.

Minnesota- What are they gonna do, trade Wiggins back to CLE? Teague can't be traded until December since he just signed. I just don't see them having the moveable parts with what they are building there.

Miami- Dragic and fillers? It's possible. Irving, Whiteside and Waiters is a nice young core.

NY- 2 new hire GMs who could both set their franchises back with the wrong deal. I can't see this happening because Melo is the only tradeable asset but him and LeBron both have player options for '18. CLE could create significant cap room. But who the hell would want to sign in CLE after LeBron leaves?

I don't think Kyrie gets traded to any of those teams. It'll be some dark horse team totally off the radar. Denver? N.O.?

Though one thing Pop may like about Kyrie is that he always or at least often lights up the Warriors.

Kyrie has played under Pop on Team USA.

He has dealt with him for years now and will be his coach when we go back to the olympics again.

I also don't think anything will happen. There is no pressure for them to make a move since he has 2 years left and doesn't have a no-trade clause.

But if they do want to make a move, the best time is the present. His trade value is higher now that a team knows it will have 2 years to try and sway him to stay longer. None of the teams he prefers would give Cavs a good return. Only team that makes some sense is the Suns. Team with young talent, but also good vets(Bledsoe or Chandler). None of their young talent is necessarily untouchable. I wouldn't expect anything less than 2 starters and future 1st.

If the 'bigger role'' thing is legit.....SA aint where he wants to be...

Maybe he just meant getting out from under Lebron's shadow.
