Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I hope Kyrie is traded out west and LeBron follows him to the left coast after the season to exact revenge.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Thanks for making my point. Let's not address what was said but make funny comments instead because how dare we question LeBron's game at all. No he doesn't make ALL teammates worse, but there's a clear pattern of capable shooters that have played on LeBron teams over his career who don't shoot at the level they're capable of when arriving. It is what it is man.

Korver, JR Smith, Shump, Kyrie, Wade, Chalmers...even freaking Deron Williams have had their best shooting years with LeBron. Literally the only players who haven't benefited from the "LeBron effect" on their shooting numbers are Bosh and Love. And I can only assume that's because they had less opportunities in the post, near the hoop and spent more time away from bucket shooting jumpers with LeBron on their team.
They've broken a couple three point shooting records these last few years. His teams always finish near the top of NBA three point shooting. And every team he's been on has made the finals the last 27 years which includes winning three of the last six.
You can say that you don't like the way he plays. That'd be fair.
But to say that the way he plays hurts his team is unequivocally false.

Basketball wise, Utah might make the most sense. Surround a player like him with defense and shooters, which the Jazz have. He and Gobert could make a formidable 1-2.

And then attacking Kyrie after:
Either that, or the fake DX reunion one where it seemed like everything was ok between the two of them, they even come out together looking like they're friends, but then Kyrie turns on Lebron after.Last edited by Majingir; 07-26-2017, 01:13 PM.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
They might target Minnesota and have to wait to be able to trade Teague, since he was signed as a free agent this summer.
Teague couldn't be traded until mid December or something like that.
So he could start the season with the Cavs and if they get off to a great start, maybe everything is patched up.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
The last time I was this confused about a basketball move was when LeBron left Cleveland the first time (lol). But man, Kyrie wanting out is still the last thing I would of ever thought. Especially after going to the Finals 3 straight years (and winning one). I know people have repeated to me that Kyrie is a superstar. I'm not saying he's not. It's just that I don't think he can turn a team around (for example a LeBron, Jason Kidd, Shaq or KD). I'm probably wrong about this. He would have to turn his game around. Like LeBron did going to the Heat.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Does anyone agree with me that Kyrie should of made this known a little earlier? Maybe after the finals or at least before the draft? A lot of wheels have turned already. I'm sure the Clippers would of liked to trade CP3 for Kyrie.
Sorry I just made 3 back to back to back post in the off season thread smh lol.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Kyrie can play in any system because he has the ability to score in every way possible. I think people just question him being able to run a system, or make anyone lesser than him a better player.
He's got the same mindset of a Kobe, Iverson, but doesn't score quite as much or move as well without the ball. So every trip he has to work for it twice as hard which alienates his teammates more so than even they did. He also doesn't do other things well enough to make up for his poor defense or over dribbling, basically unlike Westbrook or Harden he doesn't bring the passing or rebounding to go along with his scoring.
He's a lot like guys along the roots of Marbury or Francis were. Only has a much higher scoring skill set. I don't think anyone believes he can't play in a system, it just that most feel a system isn't going to change who he already is.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Exactly.
No system can make you defend better or make you want to try to look and get others involved. That's something you learn from going back to AAU ball.

I know his Defense is trash(crazy thing is he has the tools to be an above average defender)and ball handling is meh though.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I was watching First Take and one of the guys had profiled Kyrie a couple of years ago.
Kyrie's father has apparently been trying to mold Kyrie most of his life.
In particular, the father thought Kyrie didn't have an alpha personality growing up, wasn't assertive enough. He wanted Kyrie to become that way.
So this wanting to be "the man" on another team may be an indication of his father's influence.Comment
