I picked Harden just because he has been continually marked as one of the worst defenders in the league.

For the record, I'm not interested in comparing them and defending Kyrie, just because he plays for my team. I know he's a bad defender unless he wants to be better, I know all that and I don't think he's a better defender than Curry. But I don't think Kyrie being a bad defender and being worse than Curry means that Curry is a good defender, because he really isn't.

No it just means they have a better option to guard opposing point guards so why put the lesser defender on what is often the more crafty offensive player?

To defend King, he never said LeBron doesn't make his teams better, he said he's made a lot of people worse because of his style of play. It was discussed to death back when he was recruiting Mo Williams and his 20ppg and Jamison with his 20ppg along with other players.

I'd love to see the stats of whoever posted all the names of players who had "their best" shooting years with Lebron. Without looking I raise a serious eyebrow to Korver and Deron Williams, if not others... but that's not really the point. James has made A LOT of players better just by being on the floor. But this idea that he doesn't hurt some players games is just false, and I really agree with King's statement that people seem to be arguing against it because of the shock factor of criticizing anything James does well. The truth is having someone like Kyrie is one of the best things that could happen for LBJ. His strengths WELL outweigh his weaknesses, but Kyrie helps balance some of those weaknesses out. Yet he really gets zero credit. It's not that hard (for me) to believe he feels some kind of way about not getting credit he feels he deserves..

Oh I get the 'shock value of criticism' aspect, its happening right now with the Steph conversation, lol

My response was towards Scotts tag on rather than Kings post though.....I just dont feel like its an LBJ exclusive thing. I think most superstars innately take away from their teammates strengths because of certain aspects of their game...and the fact the ball is in their hands so much (Bron even more so). So of course Bron hurts some teammates games, but I also dont think playing with LeBron is some kind of great burden players have to suffer through either....cant buy into that

Id totally disagree with Kyrie getting zero credit, if anything I think this pairing with LBJ has shielded him from a lot of the faults we talk about here....funny enough, they will all be front and center if he leaves for his 'own team'

Okay you all are just taking up for Steph. Steph guards the weakest link on offense while Kyrie guards usually the best guard but Steph is a better defender smh no he is hidden on a good defensive team

Just because someone is the worst of his group does not equate to him being the worst of all groups.

Kyrie being the best option on his team does not mean he's better than another player who plays with a better option.

If were all on a playground and I guard you and your team agrees for you to not guard me because so and so will do better means they have no confidence in your defense lets get real with experience and eye test and not stats

I can't believe there's people that actually think Steph isn't a good defender. I'm sure those same people think "KD only can score & don't play defense". We have to start using all stats/metrics to change the perception on some players.
