Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I love Kyrie's grit and stones but MAN this is a great deal for Cleveland, assuming that Nets pick turns into a Top 3 choice like it should. I'm sure they know LeBron is gone and it will help them rebuild with that top pick. That or it's a good enough player that it may entice LeBron to stay.
Looking at next summer, if the Cavs didn't make this move they'd have their hands tied in terms of improving the roster. Now they can either let IT walk (granted it doesn't help their cap situation really) or use his Bird Rights and potentially add a kid like Porter Jr or Bagley.
I'm shocked Ainge let go of that Nets pick, finally, for this..."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Btw, fitting for the Cavs to get the #1 pick again when LeBron leaves

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Whoa. Think Cavs did about as well as possible with the balance of trying to win now and getting a quality asset.
C's are making a lateral move right now, but if Tatum and Brown are as good as their fans think then they should have a quality young core for the foreseeable future.
I like itGood job! Good effort!Comment

How much better is the Cavs roster as far as chances against the Warriors or any top 4-5 team in the West after this trade?
I say West teams because they were pretty much a lock to get there regardless of who their PG was next season.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
And I was wrong about the Cavs not trading with a eastern conference rival. I guess it's really only about getting the best deal.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I think it's a very good trade for Boston but the only reservation I would have is that they could have gotten a better player (imo) in Jimmy Butler and even Paul George for that exact same package.
Why did they refuse to give up that pick in the draft for either of those guys but they give it up now?Comment
