It's just a mentality thing. You don't get to the top without believing in yourself. DeRozan is exposing himself as mentally weak and soft. Comments like that says even he doesn't believe they can beat Cleveland. And like DDP says, "whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right".

You don't ever hear those kinds of comments from any of the truly elite players. As much **** as I give Isaiah Thomas for being cocky, at least he believes in himself when nobody else did and he'll fight to the very end. That's the type of mentality you want from your leader. DeMar is supposed to be the face of that franchise and he just looks and sounds defeated and like he's already given up. If I'm a Raps fan, I'd be pretty upset about that.

See. This **** right here is why I typically turn the game off at the buzzer. Sticking microphones in front of people seconds and minutes after a game may occasionally provide us with some truly entertaining moments (How about that for DATA?!), but more often than not it provides talking heads with truly useless fodder for hot takes and in-dept analysis of an organization's mindset, culture, and opportunity.

So instead of us having a decent conversation about whether or not the Raptors attempted to make any strategy changes between game 1 and game 2, hypothesizing about how to stop the Cavs in Game 3, or any other general topic that isn't generated from a Hot Take Machine we're instead left picking up the pieces to a comment made in jest after being manhandled by the best player in the world.

In short: Get the **** out of here with this ****.

I have more of a problem with the $100 reward. Shouldn't having the key to stopping LeBron be worth more? Cheap *** DeRozen.

LeBron literally said during one of the last two Finals that you can't slow Curry down. It's not mentally weak it's respect for your opponent.

Can't stop him or can't slow him down? There's a distinct difference there and Curry was most certainly slowed down in last year's Finals.

So something DeMar said shows him being mentally weak, but if someone suggests LeBron is soft/mentally weak for his flopping and the way he reacts to fouls or the not taking the last shot conversation all hell breaks loose about not psycho analyzing players and how anybody can magically be in their heads. Interesting.

Lol it's not JUST what he said that makes him mentally weak, it's also his body of work. I'd make a good bet that this dude has more single-digit scoring playoff games than any other max-player, especially one known specifically for his scoring ability.

You don't need to try and make this about LeBron, which I see you're trying to do. He's a top-5 player of all-time and you don't accomplish that if you're mentally weak and/or soft. You could've made that argument pre-2011, but you can't anymore.

James, following the Cavaliers' first practice in preparation for Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors, was asked how one slows down Stephen Curry, the NBA's reigning Most Valuable Player.

"Well, the same way you slow me down. You can't," James said.
Stopping someone and slowing someone is a matter of semantics, otherwise it's no different in the sports world. This discussion really isn't worth 2-3 pages, lol.

And I'm with areo. $100 is too cheap. Now if he would've said $100 and maybe 500,000 VC....I'd be searching hard as hell right now.

I was just going to say that. I mean, c'mon man! You want to stop LeBron than make the "bounty" something like a million bucks not a measly $100 dollars! What a cheap bastard.

BTW I agree with most of the folks here. I don't see the huge fuss in what DeRozan said. It's pretty much gallows humor when you know you can't stop the guy so you crack a joke to keep from breaking down crying.

I really wish Sportsnet could have the services of Jack Armstrong. He doesn't hold back and tells it like he sees it. TSN was wise to lock him up to a contract with them exclusively.

But that quote is OK, because LeBron brought himself to up Steph's level.

So there is an internet theory floating around suggesting Marcus Morris played game two in place of Markieff Morris.

Explains how #5 moved and played so well after suffering a brutal ankle injury. I'm not sure what to believe.

With blind hope, I still have thin line of hope that we defend homecourt, stop the 3 ball and send this back to Cleveland at 2-2.

Someone please slap me and bring me back to reality !! LOL....
More reason why they need to get rid of Casey. Your biggest weakness is everyone else's strength. They're all gonna kill you at it.

Bucks were close to bottom in league in 3pt shooting during season, but know Raptors suck at guarding the 3 and fired away during playoffs and look how much that paid off.

Casey is 10 steps behind everyone else and doesn't even realize what game they're playing.
