I've no clue how much star power Wall has in DC, but charity work and being an unselfish teammate is irrelevant in that discussion. I would guess it has more to do with how high the Wizards rank when it comes to the teams in that era.Comment

Im not a Washington fan, nor do I like a Kentucky Wildcat, especially those who play for Calipari, but I have to say John Wall is a good kid, who was raised right, and for that I have a lot of respect for him. Obviosuly he is a heck of a player too, but being a good person trumps that every time.
Going to be a heck of a game 7, these 2 teams match up real well, with no team being clearly better than the other. I look for both teams and players to show up and go all out, unlike we saw in the WC with James Harden,lol.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Considering they haven't been there in almost 40 years, they get there in Brooks' 1st year and also beat the top seed in the East...I don't see how anyone couldn't be proud of that.

What makes you think the Celtics projected narrative is any different than this? Maybe change the order... close game 1 or even win the 1st, but end result is 4-0 or 4-1 with the "rebuilding" Celtics happy to get to the ECF and start preparing for their potential top 3 lottery pick?Comment

No matter what happens tonight I'll be more than satisfied with this season. John Wall has somehow found another level to ascend to. Beal became a lot more aggressive on offense. Porter is finally coming into his own. Gortat manage to stay the clock this year and be relevant again and even intimidating at times. Keef had me pleasantly surprised all year. I'm hoping Scotty Brooks can do his developmental magic with him because he has all the tools to be another star for this team. We got some good pieces for the bench. Oubre has started developing into what I hope is a special player, but his defense is already a joy to watch. Smith puts in hustle and has broadened his game to be used however the team asks.
The first two months of the season were rough, but Brooks really has these guys working for him and I don't see why it won't continue next season.
Still, if they lose tonight I'm gonna be disappointed.

Yeah, I dont think the winner of this game stands much of a chance against the Cavs.
