Wow, that hurts. But I have to agree. Also, don't get into a talking match with Draymond Green until you finish handling your business.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

Lol what It said to Dray had nothing to do with either side finishing their business anyways.

I can see how it would be to some. Since usually, people wear black to mourn the death of someone, I just think it's a bit of a reach to connect it to what happened with his sister. No biggie though.
Doesn't bother me personally as a fan, but I can definitely see how players would an issue with it.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 05-13-2017, 06:17 AM.#RespectTheCultureComment

We can't even let them get away with this. They played the hell out of themselves wearing all black and losing last night. That part is done. John Wall is too good.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

He didn't want to go home, so it is what it is, but IMO the dynamic of the league would be so much more interesting if KD had went to the Wizards.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

In what's been a snoozer of a postseason so far, I needed a game like that. That was a lot of fun.

Re: 2017 Eastern Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
From the Post:
Colin Cowherd said some more dumb stuff about John Wall the other day, this time suggesting that he’s not even close to the top of the “star power” rankings in his home city.
“I think the Wizards aren’t even popular in their home town. Seriously, I think Washington is probably the least-interesting good team in the NBA. Think about this: Think about John Wall as their best player. Great player, nobody disputes that. In D.C. alone, he’s not as big as Bryce Harper, he’s not as big as the biggest three or four Redskins players, he’s not as big as Ovechkin, he’s not as big as Trump. I’m not sure he’s as popular as Tony Kornheiser.”
[Let’s all watch bonkers fan videos of John Wall’s game-winning three-pointer]
Here I’ll stop the transcription to run down that list. Harper is debatable. Wall is bigger than anyone on the Redskins right now, and he’s caught up to Ovechkin and probably has passed him. Trump? Cowherd is either grossly misinformed, straight trolling (probably) or willfully stupid. Do 30 seconds of research. The Kornheiser reference is just kind of weird. Who’s comparing those two people besides Colin Cowherd.
[John Wall wins game, then wins postgame interview]
Anyway, Cowherd kept going:
“He doesn’t have star power. Where’s his big shoe deal? Where are the endorsements for John Wall? John Wall is a great player, he doesn’t have any star power. … Steph Curry’s got star power. Westbrook’s got star power. James Harden, the beard’s got star power. Aaron Rodgers, the look, the commercials, star power. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, that’s star power. John Wall’s got no star power, no influence in the league, none. Nobody goes to their games in D.C. In sports he’s about the sixth-biggest star in the city. There are columnists that are more known. Last night, the hockey ratings doubled the NBA ratings Washington. … Everyone knows the Celtics’ backstory. People in D.C. don’t even know the Wizards’ backstory. … I know Washington’s history better than the average Wizards fan does. Nobody wants to watch the Wizards. Wall doesn’t have any fans.”
Yep. None.
It was an interesting observation from someone who has never lived within Amtrak distance of D.C. and has no apparent ties to the area, but I guess you have to say some silly things to catch up to “Fight Mom” in the TV ratings.
Comcast SportsNet’s Chris Miller heard Cowherd’s latest blather and felt the need to respond — quite eloquently — before Friday night’s Game 6.
In case you need the transcription, here are Miller’s remarks in full:
“It’s a little personal to me because I’ve seen this kid since Day 1, and I’ve seen all this hate and vitriol that goes his way, and all he does is go out and play. Here’s the one reason why I think Colin Cowherd has missed it since Day 1: Go ask his teammates what John Wall is all about. Why don’t you go ask those kids in Southeast D.C. that John Wall has put hundreds of thousands of dollars into supporting their schools so they can get a better education. Go ask them about John Wall. And maybe more importantly, go ask the teammates that are no longer here that are enjoying big-time contracts because they played for somebody that wasn’t selfish and got their teammates involved. He gets players paid because he cares, and for Colin Cowherd since Day 1 — since John Wall did the Dougie in his season-opening Game 1 — to continue this narrative is stupid, because you don’t have nothing else to say. And until you’re in that locker room and until you talk to John Wall and the people around him, just save that narrative for another day. I’m tired of it.”

John Wall is my guy. I'll defend that dude to the death for how much he genuinely cared about that young lady with cancer. He's also a hell of a basketball player which helps too.
