Even with the Cavs/Warriors I could see it ending in 5 games. Maybe they'll all at least be close and competitive though. When GS is clicking I just don't think they are beatable. For a game here and there, but not for 4 in a 7 game stretch.

I can't give the team that blew a 3-1 lead the crown. Even with the KD addition.

No better day than a Friday for one of these teams to exercise their right to win a game on the road.

Y'all ain't slick, I already see what y'all are doing.

Setting up that storyline where if Cleveland does repeat, y'all gonna act all surprised and stunned that they won again. No sir, I'm not buying it. [emoji38]

Nah man that's ya'll tryna make sure that path is nice and clear for more help jokes when GSW dominates, lol

but seriously, I honestly think GSW goes through this whole run maybe losing 1-2 games.

If Cleveland wins (assuming they make it) I'll legitimately be shocked....

The BEST case scenario is that the Spurs are in the Finals though...

Nah but I did hear that Bron has 2 different address books in his phone depending on the result of the Finals.

Under the "Repeat" Contact List, he has 1 contact. But under the "Lost in the Finals" Contact List, it's like 80 different names in there that he has on speed dial ready to call.

                Ish crazy man...

Well we already know he's got KD if they win....should be extra motivation...

Curry will probably take it a bit better than Russ though, can't say the same for Dray Dray....

I can. You have to have an extremely rare mental breakdown for that to happen with this kind of team.

Hell I even had a dream that the Cavs lost game 1 by 40. This is gonna be a slaughter.

I agree, I'd say Dubs in 6 at worse. Most likely in 5.

Good write up ahead of tonight's game

Can Washington get serious on defense? Will Boston finally clean up its act on the road? Zach Lowe highlights all the games-within-the-game to watch in Wiz-Celtics.

Good article, although I don't know why he has to throw shade at my man Marcus Smart for though:

Smart lays bricks, and Boston has to mix up where they put him off the ball. Slotting him on the weak side like this puts his defender in prime help position.

But in general, this is a hyper-aggressive scheme, and I'm not sure it can work now that Boston has absorbed the initial shock and awe of it. Horford is too good a playmaker, and all of Boston's perimeter guys, save Smart, can knock down open 3s. Even in Game 4, they were beginning to pass their way to open looks:
He's actually shot pretty well this postseason, hitting 17 of 46 three's 37% and I recall him having to chunk up a couple late in the shot clock which further hurt his %. If they want to leave him open, then I'd be fine with him shooting a couple of more 3's per game.

I'd like to see a home/away split on this. We all know Smart can't shoot that well, and like most cases, is better at home than away. I'll be thrilled if he takes some of the shots he took last game, tonight... no chance he makes them at the same rate. At the same time, Oubre firing up challenged 3's in Boston isn't a good idea. So i think it's a fair assessment with the game being in DC.

With that said, I think Smart was feeling himself because he was making them. He seems at least somewhat self aware, and I think he'll be more gun shy and looking to create for others on the road. My problem is Wizards players closing hard on him like he's IT, and falling for pump fakes. They need to let him take those shots, just putting a hand up.
