Carter is going to Portland for Abdur-Rahim?

Raptor fans rejoice. Rumour has it that the Blazers and Raps are in trade talks. The only trade that matches up is Carter for Abdur-Rahim. Both are disgruntled and are max players. Although I wouldn't have made this trade 2 years ago, any chance to get rid of Vince for a halfway decent player is OK by me. Shareef is easily a 20-10 man when happy and the Raptor's style as well as the large Muslim community in Toronto should be a good fit for him. The best part is old broken down Vince will be history. Let's hope it happens before his stock plummets lower.

The sports radio station in Toronto. They said that that a story broke in Portland that they're in trade talks but didn't say who it was involved. The Carter for Shareef is my assumption as Shareef wants out of Portland and they sure aren't gonna trade Randolph and the Raps don't want Stoudamire so the only trade that would work for both teams is Carter for Shareef salary wise. If you've seen Carter play so far you'll know that the Raps are desperate to get rid of him. It also looks like Abdur-Rahim is not getting many minutes in Portland.

Bosh, SAR, and Marshall well atleast they'd have depth
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

I heard the same thing here in Portland, OR on 1080AM "The FAN" radio station. They talked for over an hour about it and the deal that was supposedly on the table was Shareef and D.Anderson or Exel for Jalen Rose and VC.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

As a Raps fan I would pull the trigger on a VC/Rose for NVE/Reef swap which works under the CBA.

The Raps would get rid of their 2 biggest contracts and then NVE and Reef both comes off the books at the end of this year too. With all those contracts I'm sure the Raps would be well under the cap. The only problem is that I don't know who are FA's after this season.

And cap space is worthless unless you have star players willing to sign with your team.
