and trust me, plenty of GM's would take a chance with ARtest. One that sticks out is Isiah Thomas
could someone please take Zeke's cell phone away, thanks.

So, true. I think the NBA should have fined him less games and made him get help for the rest of the year.

Everybody remembers that guy that choked his coach right. When made available, the Knicks jumped at him, with the Pacers and Heat also persuing. Then, Spree helps the knicks go to the finals, proves to be a model citizen (When his family was well fed), and was loved in NY. I have a gut feeling that Isiah Thomas will call the Pacers next year to pawn off Tim Thomas for Artest. I just see Artest as a Knick next year. Whats even stranger is that wouldn't bother me. Everybody deserves a second chance and we have all made mistakes. Ron Artest is no different.

Well, this will be Artest 50th chance, but I get your drift

There is a difference. Spreewell was just an *******, there was nothing wrong with him. Artest has some mental issues.

True. Shouldn't be hard to get the guy a little, well, alot of anger management. Indiana should have traded him for Stojakovic as rumored during the offseason. His value has now plummeted and someone may take a chance on him (Zeke) next year if he is elligible to play and will get him cheap. He is going to have to make an effort to show that outbursts like this will NEVER happen again.

Outside of that, Artest is a hell of a player.

Also, I'm sure (or at least am hoping) that the NBA and the Pacers will find a way to help Artest.

While, I agree that Artest is definitely not all up there, he is definitely aware tha the makes mistakes. His problem is that he doesn't understand the magnitude of those mistakes. But, being that he knows he's wrong for something, I don't think it'll be hard to convince him to seek some sort of help.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer
