    Tmac-Kobe-Lebron?

I'm sorry for starting a thread that's probably been talked about, but I want to hear other people's opinions. How do these three compare, talent wise, and overall domination as far as complete player goes. And since Lebron is 19, how good will he be in 8 yrs, in your opinion.

Right now, I'd say they are all equal, in terms of overall talent. I give Kobe the edge in skill over Tmac and Lebron, moreso over James because Kobe is a better shooter.

I give James the edge in OVERALL athleticism, in terms of 1st step and speed, I think James and Bryant are equal, w/Tmac a hair behind. But James is bigger than Kobe, in both height and body frame, and has longer arms. And Tmac can't hold a candle to Lebron in terms of power, and strength. Lebron is a averaged sized 4, he's 6'9"(he grew since his rookie year), and 245 pounds, with a 7'1" wingspan.

In terms of competitiveness, Kobe gets the nod for now, although James has shown me something, he may yet be the competitor Kobe is.

Defensively, I think Kobe is #1, Lebron #2, and Tmac #3.

In terms of passing, it goes Lebron #1, Kobe #2 and Tmac #2a.

And in terms of upside, or best potential or talent to dominate, I go Lebron #1(cuz he's equal in game already at age 19, and 19 ain't your peak in physical upside, folks), and Tmac #2 and Kobe #2a.

At this point, I know it's ridiculous to speculate how many championships or scoring titles these 3 will finish with, so I'm more asking what you guys think right now, but I'll admit I'm curious how far you all think Lebron can go in terms of dominating. These are just my opinions, just wanna hear what others think, the only reason I post this is I am so blown away with Lebron's effortless 43 points against a good defensive team(great when Ben plays), and the fact he's still just 19.

This may sound premature, and it might be the sheer impressiveness of his game tonight, but I think, that when its all said and done, Kobe'll be Clyde, Mac will be Nique, and Lebron.......welll, you know....

The thing is this guy is putting up numbers better than them right now. Mac and KB8 could only dream of the skill and control over a game that Lebron has displayed when they were 19. Every time I try to check myself on a good game Lebron had, it always comes back that hes not yet 20. He has 6-7 years on the top 3 SGs in the L and hes already toe to toe with them.

Oh , and since you gave him no 'spect, Paul Pierce will be like Barkley (for lack of a better comparison and trying to stay in the Jordan Era, feel free to replace with a better comparison...)

        Re: Tmac-Kobe-Lebron?

I'm glad you mentioned Pierce, he is so underrated. I am amazed at the number of people who think he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Tmac and Kobe, yet he puts up the same numbers and carries his team just as well as Kobe does w/LA and no Shaq, and Pierce does more w/Boston than Tmac did with Orlando. Pierce is in their category for sure, he just isn't as flashy, is a bit more like Artest in that he's a little more earthbound, and more physical than Tmac and Kobe, although Kobe is getting more physical now that he's filled out.

As far as comparing Lebron and you know who, I would never suggest it, b/c there's many people that get quickly offended when anyone brings up his name in a comparison. Besides, we'll let time and accomplishments do the talking. I'd say 6 titles and 11 scoring titles is out of reach, for two reasons. Chances of getting a player as talented as Scottie, and a supporting cast of Rodman, Horace Grant, Harper, Kukoc, etc. is not likely, and Lebron's mentality is not geared toward scoring like you know who, Lebron is more pass first I think, but that could change?

:y4: Paul Pierce will be Barkley. :y4:

I agree with your analysis rbruns, and your's Tha_Kid. His overall game is head to head against the biggest stars in the game, and like you said, he has 6-7 years on them. Just amazing. If he keeps improving, or even playing at the level he is right now, you can keep the comparisons coming in about that other #23...

rbruns, I agree with you wholly, its more of a "if you have to compare it to the Jordan era" kind of thing. The players now and the comparisions I listed are all vastly different...
