I watched Bryant shut down Bibby in game 7 at Sac from about 5 minute mark in 4th quarter through overtime.

If anyone remembers that game, Bibby had scored 20+ plus points through three quarters and was on fire, in fact he hit the shot that sent the game to overtime. (a play on which Fisher guarded him).

I 've seen Bryant take out a hot T Parker in the playoffs (after four or five games of Parker scoring 20+points and being hailed the best pg).

He was the reason why they beat Portland in 2000 semis. Bryant led the charge from 15 points down, who do you think got Shaw the ball for those threes, who threw the lob to shaq.

He has been the reason why the Lakers advanced past San Antonio and Minnesota the last three years. +

Until I see these other clowns do anything in the playoffs, then it's a garbage issue. On a sleepy monday night against the Hornets, a whole host of players can drop 40 pts and 10 reb and assists. Let's see how they play in the last five minutes of game 7 in the playoffs.

If I rank them.

1. Kobe and he will be at his best in his early 30's.
2. Lebron - he will the best when Kobe leaves
3. Tmac - he's more Domonique

I;ve seen him get no DPOY award also. BTW, LBJ is the better player at this moment.

I dont know Rock. Shaq allowed him to gamble to no end and it worked, but now he can't do that ans his D hasnt been the most superb. He can D up no doubt, but the way people talking how he seperates himself and all is a bit of hype.

BTW that statement about rings andc clutchness could also be made about guys like Robert Horry, Steve Kerr, John Paxson,etc.. so it kinda invalidates that thought.

I think his prescence helped much more than Chris Mihm's does, and yes, Shaq was an intimidator and always had to back up a gambling Bryant.

He is not responsible for Kobe being a good individual defender, but he is still not DPOY material as some overrate him.

What gambles? Markobe do you pay attention to your favorite player?

I was referring to the Clyde comment about how he didn't have any help or a "sidekick" to help him win. That is just absurd - when Clyde was in Houston he had a hell of a supporting cast to get him those two rings, most notably Olajuwon. Not even referring to Shaq.
