Yesterday man. I made a point about Shaq being there to back up Kobe on D as you could see in the pic. Where were you man?

There is not one player in the NBA who can shut down every player at his position night in and night out(Except maybe Shaq if he wanted). That is a rediculous expectation for any player to have. At some point in their careers virtually everyone was considered the best player around in some basketball circles and most of these guys have pride man. People are going to get off on Kobe, T-Mac, James, Pierce, etc. because they are going up against great players night in and night out and it is bound to happen.

IMO there are no defensive stoppers in the nba. Only things these guys can do is make scoring difficult, not IMPOSSIBLE. Some are better at this than others.

KDre, do you have a gif from that same Orl/LA game where Kobe spins off of T-mac so fast(matched up one on one) and heads to the hole for the dunk?

I don't care much for Kobe but it's relatively easy to find some kind of media documenting a good defensive player getting beat badly in the NBA.

No doubt in my mind though that not having to shoulder the load on offense like some of his opponents in the past leaves him with a little more energy and tenacity on the defensive end compared to some of his opponents. Kobe is still one of the best defender's at his position imo. Not in the same mold of a Bruce Bowen/ Ron Artest imo but those players don't have to put up 20-30 points a night for their team to win like Kobe will have to this year imo.

I mean no one any disrespect.

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Here's the Kobe Bryant: DEFENSE Video by Lakeshow09 from clublakers.com. Definetly one of my favorites.

Just a warning: The video does contain vulgar lyrics in the background (it's Ludacris, what do you expect?). So just a heads up incase any young ones are gonna be around you at the time.

Just thought about this. Nas is one of the most respect (if not most talented) MCs/Rappers/Hip Hop Artist of all time. To say you havent heard one of his songs and call your self a fan of hip hop in the same sentence is just nuts. Even Jay-Z a known foe of Nas listens to his music. Its like saying you like the NBA but never heard of Jordan. Kobe is denial.

When the questioned him, Nas' CD had just dropped...which reminds me, I have to go cop the retail myself...so he may not have heard it at the time. Nas is well respected, but is also well known for his contradictions...no man should judge another, only God can judge.

Very true, but some things in life have already been judged.
