Looking at the stats you might make a strong case for LeBron. Can he be the first guard since Jordan to have a +50 FG Percentage. Right now he's at the 50 mark and Kobe is at 40.

I think that LeBron is better than Kobe at the moment because of the supporting cast.LeBron has a bunch of role players on the team that allow him to be the centerpart.Kobe just has "guys" around him. Kobe and to a far lesser extent Lamar Odom are the only players on that team.All other teams have to do is stop kobe and the game is over. This puts LeBron in the spotlight and allows his teammates to contribute to his label as "Star.

Lamar Odom, Caron Butler, and a few other guys on that team are actually GOOD players. To call the rest of Kobe's supporting cast aside from Odom, "garbage" or insinuate that is ridiculous, IMHO.Comment

I'm not sure of Kobe's exact #'s last year but he didn't have "guys", he was rollin w/ hall of famers, and I thought he had his worst shooting season ever. I agree that he doesn't have a team this year, but I don't feel sorry for him like I have for Tmac, AI, PP or other elite shooting guards. People forget, this is what Kobe wanted. He chased out Shaq, Phil, and now Malone. Any other guard would kill for the chance to play among talent like that. Most of the more humble players in the league would be saying "it's an honor and a privelage". he is not really at that level yet....let him get some experience and then you could really discuss this because Kobe has already proven himself in certain situations-Jerry West“It’s so senseless to me to say he shouldn’t take over like that.
