I think this thread is just the sum of folks not liking KOBE bottom line.
It's not fair to compare titles when making this comparision because winning titles consist of more that one player AND also depends on the situation. Is it fair to say that Tony Parker is better than John Stockton because Parker has 1 more ring than Stockton? Stockton is a hall of fame player who unfortunatley couldn't win a title because he faced the rage of the Michael Jordan Bulls in the mist of their 5th and 6th championship runs. If Parker and the Spurs had to face the championship Bulls they would have suffered the same fate as the Jazz.

One stat-line that is eye popping on LeBron(besides the fact that his team is leading the Eastern Conference) is the fact that he's scoring 25 ppg as a guard and he's got a field goal percentage of over 50%. The last time a guard was in the top 5 in scoring and had a FG% over 50% was MJ. Kobe's current FG% is 40%. Kobe's highest FG% in a career was in 2002 with a FG% of 46.9%.

That's not a fair indicator either....Lebron scores more off of dunks and layups, while Kobe is the much better shooter and tends to take more outside shots. I think offensively, Kobe's better, defensively, Kobe's better, and Kobe has better intangibles. Lebron can make his teammates better, something that Kobe doesn't know how to do tho.

cosign... but also, how many titles can Lebron have being that he's a month into his second year?? One at most, genius. So while this argument is illogical because just having rings doesnt make you a better player than someone w/o rings see Dice's tony parker vs. stockton argument, and also Kobe wasnt even the #1 option on those teams... while those are good points, its also impossible for lebron to beat kobe in rings since hes only been around a year.

I love it how some people act like they actually know Kobe off the court and act like they chill with him on a regular basis like this guy does. I don't understand how you can say someone is bad human being by someone accusing them of rape and watching that person on a basketball court.

No doubt. That's why its unfair to play the "who's got more rings" game. Kobe not only didn't have a ring his first year, he wasn't the calibur player Lebron was and definately wasn't doing the things that Lebron is doing this year. It's not fair to compare careers, becasue Lebron doesnt really have one, but you can compare their first year and a half to eachother in which case Lebron wins, or you can compare this years Kobe to this years Lebron, and again right now I gotta go with Lebron, he's got the winning team, he's shooting a great fg%, he's a better leader, better at making people around him better, and people actuallty like him and want to play with him. He's a kid and he commands the respect of vets. But its about more than on court abilities, he gets the respect because he has humility. It's cool that Kobe is arrogant on the court, sure, all the greats are. But you gotta know when to turn it off. Like Lebron stopping to run out the clock instead of jamming it on the fast break the other night, thats humility, thats maturity. Kobe running everyone out of LA, Kobe saying "THEYre playing good for ME", Kobe blocking ray allen then staring him down as the sonics get the O rebound, Kobe not wanting to win unless he gets the credit for it, and the list goes on and on. These are things that show arrogance on and off the court. Lebron has learned that there is a time and a place, and he's what 19? He's a kid. Kobe hasnt nor do i think he ever will learn this because he keeps getting spoon fed everything he desires in LA. Kobe vs Lebron right now? In a one on one matchup, Kobe might get him, but if Im starting a team theres not a doubt in my mind who im gonna take.

                            Just for clarification...

LeBron vs. Kobe month of Nov. (via CBS sportsline.com shot charts):

                            Layups: LBJ-51/74 (69%) Kobe-38/65 (58%)

                            Jumpers: LBJ-63/169 (37%) Kobe-68/214 (31%)

                            Dunks: LBJ-21/21 (100%) Kobe-16/19(3 missed dunks?)

                            Total shots: LBJ-135/164 (51%) Kobe-122/298 (40%)

                            Shot selection breakdown:
                            LBJ-Layups(28%) Jumpers(64%) Dunks(.7%)
                            Kobe- Layups(21%) Jumpers(71%) Dunks(.6%)

As you can see, Kobe takes a few more jumpers (over 15 Nov games, he averages around 3 more per contest).... but hits them at a much lower clip than James does. Whos the better shooter? Draw your own conclusions...

                                Just for clarification...

LeBron vs. Kobe month of Nov. (via CBS sportsline.com shot charts):

                                Layups: LBJ-51/74 (69%) Kobe-38/65 (58%)

                                Jumpers: LBJ-63/169 (37%) Kobe-68/214 (31%)

                                Dunks: LBJ-21/21 (100%) Kobe-16/19(3 missed dunks?)

                                Total shots: LBJ-135/164 (51%) Kobe-122/298 (40%)

                                Shot selection breakdown:
                                LBJ-Layups(28%) Jumpers(64%) Dunks(.7%)
                                Kobe- Layups(21%) Jumpers(71%) Dunks(.6%)

As you can see, Kobe takes a few more jumpers (over 15 Nov games, he averages around 3 more per contest).... but hits them at a much lower clip than James does. Whos the better shooter? Draw your own conclusions...
