Just for clarification...

LeBron vs. Kobe month of Nov. (via CBS sportsline.com shot charts):

Layups: LBJ-51/74 (69%) Kobe-38/65 (58%)

Jumpers: LBJ-63/169 (37%) Kobe-68/214 (31%)

Dunks: LBJ-21/21 (100%) Kobe-16/19(3 missed dunks?)

Total shots: LBJ-135/164 (51%) Kobe-122/298 (40%)

Shot selection breakdown:
LBJ-Layups(28%) Jumpers(64%) Dunks(.7%)
Kobe- Layups(21%) Jumpers(71%) Dunks(.6%)

As you can see, Kobe takes a few more jumpers (over 15 Nov games, he averages around 3 more per contest).... but hits them at a much lower clip than James does. Whos the better shooter? Draw your own conclusions...

Kobe is a 3 time champion. I have seen Kobe dominate in pressure situations and hit clutch shots to win championship/playoff games.

This is true. BUT take this next example and see if it's fair. I've seen James Worthy dominate and hit clutch shots to win championship/playoff games. Is it fair to say that he's a better player than Charles Barkely?

In case you missed it, once again, the rings argument holds no weight in this discussion, heres why Lebron >>> Kobe

No doubt. That's why its unfair to play the "who's got more rings" game. Kobe not only didn't have a ring his first year, he wasn't the calibur player Lebron was and definately wasn't doing the things that Lebron is doing this year. It's not fair to compare careers, becasue Lebron doesnt really have one, but you can compare their first year and a half to eachother in which case Lebron wins, or you can compare this years Kobe to this years Lebron, and again right now I gotta go with Lebron, he's got the winning team, he's shooting a great fg%, he's a better leader, better at making people around him better, and people actuallty like him and want to play with him. He's a kid and he commands the respect of vets. But its about more than on court abilities, he gets the respect because he has humility. It's cool that Kobe is arrogant on the court, sure, all the greats are. But you gotta know when to turn it off. Like Lebron stopping to run out the clock instead of jamming it on the fast break the other night, thats humility, thats maturity. Kobe running everyone out of LA, Kobe saying "THEYre playing good for ME", Kobe blocking ray allen then staring him down as the sonics get the O rebound, Kobe not wanting to win unless he gets the credit for it, and the list goes on and on. These are things that show arrogance on and off the court. Lebron has learned that there is a time and a place, and he's what 19? He's a kid. Kobe hasnt nor do i think he ever will learn this because he keeps getting spoon fed everything he desires in LA. Kobe vs Lebron right now? In a one on one matchup, Kobe might get him, but if Im starting a team theres not a doubt in my mind who im gonna take.
