I know any post someone makes here is a verbal gas can just waiting to get flamed but I'm a stats guy so I'll put up the stats.

        LBJ 23
        PPG 24.9
        RPG 6.8
        APG 6.6
        SPG 2.32
        BPG 1.05
        FG% .497
        FT% .772
        3P% .320
        MPG 41.2
        __________________________________________________ _______________
        KB8
        PPG 26.4
        RPG 7.3
        APG 7.1
        SPG 1.33
        BPG 1.28
        FG% .397
        FT% .808
        3P% .326
        MPG 42.9
right now I'd say its apples and apples. Kobe's got higher boards and assists per game but LBJ shoots a better field goal percentage. I'd say even on O, KB8 on D, LBJ on chemistry and making people play for him, KB8 on intangibles(except chemistry).

Lebron James is the best player in the NBA . . . well, actually, Garnett and Duncan are, but Garnett got exposed in the playoffs.

Look at it this way: Michael Jordan averaged 28 points per game in his rookie year, right? AMAZING numbers for a rookie. Now look at this: Lebron James is averaging around 28 points per game RIGHT NOW, and he will be Jordans age when he was a rookie in 3 YEARS.

Only injuries will slow down Lebron.

PLUS Lebron puts up 10 assists a game. He can double task. Kobe can put up either 40 points and 1 assist, or 10 points and 10 assits.

edit- I dont know why but that comment struck a cord and pissed me off but I dont want to jump down your throat.

Bull... Look I made the case for Lebron, but Kobe is leading the L in triple doubles, dont say the man cant multi task, at least give him his respect man.

Re: LeBron better than Kobe right now?

Lebron will probably end up posting better career numbers than Kobe but he isn't there yet. I'm not a fan of Kobe but he's probably a more well rounded player right now primarily because of his defense. But Lebron is on his way to becoming something special to watch for years to come.

I Think a better argument would be D.Wade vs. Lebron...they both have so much upside.
