Not sure if true or not but there's been a long standing rumor that Kyrie has always wanted to play for the Knicks. The Jimmy Butler thing seems like it's been brewing all season especially with the intensity he brings and the so called lackadaisical effort(s) from both KAT and Wiggins with Wiggins being a major focus of his frustration.

I like that we didn’t lock him up long term. Keeps us flexible for next year when Thad, CoJo, Bogdanovich and Collison come off the books too. Going to be busy next summer. Either way good pickup if he stays healthy.

This seems like the perfect trade for both teams the 76ers pick up a solid role player that's on a expiring contract so they save max cap space for next. They also get a future 2nd round pick and can use chandlers salary if they want to trade for a big name at the deadline. The nuggets also save 50 million $ and don't have to give up much of anything.

edit - looks like the 76er could trade Chandler right away since they got him via cap space

Jimmy has BEEN wanting to team up with Kyrie. While he was still here and was angling for that when Derrick was finally out of the picture and it looked like the front office were finally going to be smart enough to build the team around him. But instead they’re morons and signed Rondo and Wade trying to make the playoffs as a damn eight seed instead of tanking that year to get young pieces around Jimmy to be in position to make a play for Kyrie. Now Bron is out the east and Jimmy and Kyrie still want to play together and GarPax can’t even make up their mind to just pay Jimmy’s replacement and be done with it. They better ****ing pray that Carter and Lauri are the real deal.

Simmons just needs to be able to shoot uncontested 3 pointers like Rondo and that offense will be fine. Preferably able to shoot it off the dribble, but if it's a catch and shoot situation that's fine as well.
