I can already see some of the upcoming arguments.

I feel for the true Lakers fans that have to endure this one.

The news you've all been waiting for...

The Knicks have signed Mario Hezonja to a 1-year, $6.5m deal.

The who's better argument will continue and will probably get worse to be honest.

That's one of the ones I expect to go on.

I wasn't saying it was you... Lol

Foreseeing the upcoming debates between lakerkobe vs lakerlebron fans makes me sad for the real Lakers fans who just want a better team to cheer for.

Spurs leverage is the same today as it was yesterday. Now they may be less willing to deal with the Lakers because they don't want to help make one of their rivals into a super team.

If anything I think this puts more pressure on the Lakers to get a deal done. They will have to give out a godfather type offer or fill out the roster with 1 year deals and wait until next year... but we see how that worked out with Paul George.

This season is a pretty big one for Ty Lue. Time to see how good of a coach he can be when he’s the alpha. This is either going to make people realize he’s a good coach who adapted his style and approach to do well after LeBron, like Spoelstra did, or if he’s a bad coach who was carried by a talented cast.

I just hope to god we don’t go full tank. We still have a nice roster that can be adapted to with the right system. Hopefully one which predicates Love doing his work inside the three point line and occasionally stretching out.

How is their need higher?? They got LeBron, acquiring another star was only to facilitate that. Lakers got their prize, and they know they can sit back and wait for Kawhi to come to them. It even gives them a year to see how he recovers from the injury.

Philly is unlikely to up their offer because the thing that held them back hasn't changed -- Kawhi extending is still very much a concern. And again, put Leonard on the 76ers, they're still not dethroning the Warriors. But with LeBron moving out West? The East is open now. 76ers should not give up their many assets for what could be a one year rental that wouldn't even change much. Stay the process, at least for now. There is no longer any rush, make the Spurs lower their demands.
