I've never seen anyone get ripped as hard as him from the draft experts I listen to. I don't think I've even heard one person so they would draft him in the 20's. I get the risk but at worst you have a 7'2 shot blocking stretch 5 off the bench. I really hope he goes to a smart organization that will be patient.

Per Givony, the Knicks have scheduled a last minute workout (tomorrow) with Darius Garland.

I think he's absolutely worth the gamble anywhere outside the lottery, maybe even anywhere outside the top 10. I get that he could easily be a bust as well, but you run that risk with literally every player that doesn't look like a "sure thing".

I wonder if Griff will be in play to get him somehow.. Before he was hired and was still a regular on NBA radio he was talking about the upcoming draft and had a lot of praise for Bol.. His biggest concern was his motor, but felt that if healthy and playing with a high motor that his size, skills, versatility, made him as good of a prospect as any player in the draft..

They currently don't have a way to get him unless they reach all the way at 4, but they have tons of ways they could land a pick somewhere between 8-15 and likely get him.

If ATL stays put with 8/10 I'd take a shot at Bol with #10.

He is a atlanta type of player because he can dribble pass and shoot. Its also possible that we could trade up from 17 and take him as we also have 35,41, 44

Atlanta is in a nice spot.. I believe guys like Cam Johnson, Daniel Gafford, Kevin Porter all have really good value around that late first early 2nd as guys who could be solid long term role players.

They could get Bol, or possibly even Jaxson Hayes, or both, and be in a spot to get one of Hunter/Culver/Reddish...

That's a ton of promise right there with what they have already.

Its why nobody wants Atlanta to trade up which seems to be the buzz. Obviously 6 rookies wont be on the roster, but you can find a way to get rid of the 2nd rounds picks. In a draft that's not built on stars I just don't see why you would trade up for a future role player. I don't care who we draft really at 8 and 10 I just don't want to trade up unless it involves 2nd round picks or taking back bad salary.

I expect the Lakers to try a buy one if not two of those 2nd round picks from the Hawks. They are going to need to try and find a couple of 4 years players who are ready to contribute off the bench now and don't have cap holds.

Where might Tacko Fall end up in the draft?

If he's available at 59, I wouldnt mind Raptors getting him. Nice GLeague project, which based on Raptors history, those projects have sometimes worked out in a big way.

How are we handling this... Do we want to wait for the official announcement, or are we going in as soon as we know?

If people want to post it here, I'd suggest maybe use Spoiler tags until it becomes official.

Also, why cant NBA just make draft show shorter? Theres a 5 or so min clock between picks. Most teams dont need all that time. We see "The pick is in" and then just have guys talking another 3 mins or go to commercial break.

Focus should be on the draft itself, not making it some long show where most of it is guys just talking about rumors or acting like they know where guys NBA careers will end up.

I usually stay off social media while any sports draft is on. I will do the same tomorrow. Takes the fun out of watching it. Only time I go back on social media is late second round when I'm ready to turn the channel,by then picks are already 4-6 spots ahead of tv

I'm the opposite. The 5 minutes the Knicks are on the clock when they go over our draft history and reiterate we haven't signed a first rounder past their rookie deal since Charlie Ward takes the fun out of it for me, social media is the only thing that makes it bearable.
