Sounds like what we have other than the Owner issues.

Make fun of it all you want, the Cavs have been smart to tank and build a war chest. With or without LeBron, the Cavs would have been pretty good the next few years with the core they build and the amount of assets they had.

The Cavs were the 76ers before the 76ers. Chris Grant just didn't have the nuts to take good players who got hurt like Embiid ect.

Drafting Porzingis isn't a solid personnel move? If not, trading him for picks and opening up 2 max spaces instead of maxing him and hoping things work out isn't? Everything he mentioned has happened in the last 2 years and you're talking about a signing when Melo was here...

I pray to Red Holzman we strike out this offseason, if we don't my name will be pink in minutes.
Porzingis is fine, but ultimately the only thing you have from him is money. Any team in the NBA can create money, so I don't see how that creates any value. Nothing they really got back for him is Smith, and he's damaged goods and some draft picks. We'll see how that pans out, but it's clearly not equal value. If you want to hang your hat on one good draft pick in nearly two decades, that's cool.

I think this is the offseason they snag someone. KD is being guilt tripped into basically joining a terrible team to restore his legacy. And Kyrie is almost certainly going to somewhere in the Boston-NY area.

It won’t be Brooklyn, I can say that much.

He’ll fit right in with the Knicks though. They got Flat Earth Clubs all over Manhattan.

John Beilein it is. No idea if he adapts his offense to suit the pros but I don’t think we have the personnel to go along with his style.

It worries me that we consider drafting Reddish now.
