The Pelicans can't just shutdown AD for the rest of the season, the NBA would be all over them considering the warning the Bulls were giving for sitting Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday.

Davis has already said he plans on playing.

Well hopefully the lakers will not give in because giving up like 6 players including BI and Kuzma and also taking a bad contract is a complete joke is way to much to give up. Like 2 first round picks, Ball, either BI or Kuzma not both and one other player should be enough. Pelicans are like trying to get way to much and mess up the lakers.

Sure but I agree with what some one else said in that giving up like 6 players for any one play is like to much no matter the player. If you trade like ever one you are going to need to find starters to like replace multiple positions and also need to get more deapth and that could make it hard to really add another star or even if you could find a way to get a 3erd start its going to make it really tricking to have like any bench. May just be a lot better to want and try to get a star in the offseason so you dont lose your depth at all. AD is not the only option for lakers to get another star before next season. We still have KD, KL, Thompson etc this offseason has options.

But spare me the “That’s too much to give” spiel. If they’re that pressed to get him then pay the price and figure out how to replace the others later.

After all, “They’re the Lakers” so they can get any one else real easy, right?

And KD isn’t going to the Lakers so you might as well cross that name out. Same with Klay, barring some unforeseen circumstance.

Any thing could happend but I am pretty sure that Klay will go back to GS but my point is there are other options out there. Heck if Cousins can look good the rest of the year like he has for the most part sense comming back going after him like they should have last offseason wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Also Its not has simple has while just go out and replace those guys because you do have to deal with the salary cap and I dont want lakers to give up on all there young players again to early like they already did with DLo and Randal would be interesting to see how good lakers would be now if they like still had those guys on the team and I think Kuzman will be a star by this time next year and BI is better than people say he is even if he has lot live up to the hype. How much of there remaining cap would it take to like replace the guys they are going to lose if they trade like ever one way? It could take a lot and than you might be stuck with like similar talent you have now only with AD and while AD is great like this current lakers team but with just AD being added its still not going to be enough. If you take like this team and add a star in offseason and so dont have to lose any thing and Kuzma becomes a star next you are right in the hunt.

I have a feeling they would be more willing to make a deal with LA if AD's representation was different and it didn't look so much like the Lakers were trying to strongarm the Pels into trading him there.
