Like Tmac said, its harder to sustain this in the post-season because you have to be dialed in on every single play, and that's what wears you down.

Of course they should be healthy by then but right now he's doing his thing.

The fact he gets 20 plus free throws a game shows there's a problem. Harden games a broken system. Can't be mad at that.

Not a knock on Harden necessarily, I've said that if I were in shoes I would do that same exact thing and that it's on the refs to call those plays differently. I just personally don't love the idea that we have a player who's single best skill set is basically tricking refs and we are deeming him the most valuable player in the league because of that. At the end of the day points are points, and if he wants to spend the entire game blurring the lines of what's legal/not legal and flopping himself to the line for the majority of his points, then so be it. Like I said I would do the same, I think lot's of players would, that's a skill in itself to be able to do that. Just don't award that player with the label that considers him more valuable than everyone else in the league.

What King said applies in large part to my logic behind what I feel personally about the argument. I know the playoff's don't matter in the MVP race for the regular season, but it does reflect on Harden as a player and show how his value waivers so drastically. When defenses are keyed in, officials aren't falling for as much of his baiting, he's not a top 5 player in league, he's not efficient, he's a high usage inefficient scorer with poor shot selection and bad defense. That's not to say he's bad, he's about as good as in player with those monikers hanging over him could possibly be, but that style doesn't translate to team value like guys most would consistently place above him in that pecking order.

Basically, I don't see a reason to ignore the logic behind who and what he is just because his numbers are great. It's every year now we know who Harden is but forget during the regular season when his game looks "prettier" and give him awards only to bash him again a few months later. I was fine with him winning it last season because for one, best player on the best team, but also because I thought he should have won the year Steph got his first one so he was getting his due finally. And many thought he > Westbrook, so he deserved to get his and he finally did. But I just don't personally want to see him come out here and rack up 3 in a row or something in large part because he's good at tricking refs.

Like I said a lot of that is just my personal take on it, I don't expect everyone to agree with me or anything like that.

Man I don't think I've seen Darko Saric make a shot since being traded to Minny.

I don't see the intrigue with the guy. Never really did.

Helluva win tonight against the Magic especially after being down by 21. Now 3 games behind Boston for 6th in the East.

Another great performance from D’Angelo tonight. Magic continuing to look more foolish by the day with the lies he said.

You know, his rookie year. He had a lot bounce in his game. But since then... Yeah he can't even shoot. Letting little guys cover him down low. It's kind of embarrassing. Sixers had to move on. He was clogging up the lane. And worst, his defense went to ****.

Robert Covington on the other hand. Was struggling from 3 too. But his defense was still legit.

Edit:Just watching his other games from his rookie year. Yeah man, that's not the same player.

Cousin start with a dunk. He looks ok I'm my opinion. I guess we'll find out around game 10. But that dunk look like normal for him.

Do remember I’ve steadily big upped most of what (player and front office/coaching) Brooklyn’s done over the passed few seasons so don’t take what I’m about to type as a diss.

That's also the same amount of GB Boston is behind Indiana for the 3 seed. But BKN is impressive wish my dude LeVert wasn't hurt tho.

Nice win for the Spurs tonight. Some awful officiating, though.

The slobbering over Cousins' performance is kind of disgusting, though. Just what the two-time defending champs need, another All-Star.

lol it was clearly in the act of shooting. So refs dont even known the right call a day later.

Lies is a strong word, so I’ll just go with “inaccurate” things.

He’s been a leader here(took time like it usually does for young PGs)but I guess because he wasn’t a leader like Magic, that means he wasn’t one or couldn’t be one in the future.

Said he couldn’t make guys better...another “inaccurate” thing to say.

Said that players didn’t want to play with him...another “inaccurate” thing to say.
